They took a seat at a table, "I'll go get the drinks and maybe cake?" Taehyung nodded. "I want strawberry cake!" He smiled. Jihoon chuckled, "Alright, I'll be back Taebaby." A light shade of pink dusted Taehyung's cheeks. Taehyung decided to pull out his phone so he could play it off casually.
Jungkook was taking Narae to a cafe to get her a cupcake on his way to work. They walked in with Jungkook holding her little hand. But then her hand slipped away.
"Taetae!"
Taehyung looked up at Narae who was running towards him. She immediately wrapped her chubby little arms around his legs and hugged him. "Hey baby!" Taehyung picked her up and kissed her cheek. "Narae!" Taehyung looked behind the girl and saw a frantic Jungkook jogging over. "Daddy look! It's Taetae!" Narae giggled, Jungkook began to panic. He didn't want to see the younger at all today. "Tae! I got the cake-" Jihoon froze.
Him being the type of person who runs quickly to conclusions immediately thought that Taehyung had a kid and the handsome male who was also there was the baby daddy. Also the fact that Taehyung did have a ring on his finger, but that was actually another story to why he had it on. "Oh! Um, y-you must be Taehyung's husband!" Jihoon immediately held out his hand for Jungkook to shake. Jungkook looked at Taehyung confused and shook Jihoon's hand. Taehyung stuffed his face into Narae's neck out of embarrassment.
Narae gasped, "Daddy loves Taetae?!" Narae squealed with delight. Taehyung's head shot up, "NO- I mean no. No sweetie, Jungkook doesn't love me," Jungkook frowned a bit. "You're not married?" Jihoon asked, he was very confused. "No, I'm not. What made you think I was?" Taehyung asked. "I- it's just you're wearing that ring and you're house is pretty big for just one." Jungkook's jaw clenched, "You went to his house? What ring?" Jungkook put his hands on his hips.
Taehyung panicked, he looked at his hand. Of course he was wearing 'that' ring! "What ring?" Jungkook asked again, his voice more stern. Narae cuddled closer to Taehyung, she didn't like it when her daddy was mad. Taehyung put up his hand showing Jungkook the ring, he also didn't like it when Jungkook was mad. Jungkook's eyes softened, "You're still wearing it?" Jungkook asked, Taehyung nodded slowly.
[FLASHBACK]
"Kookie!" Taehyung waved at his boyfriend who was across the street waiting for him. Taehyung quickly ran across the street and hugged Jungkook. "Hey beautiful." Jungkook kissed Taehyung's lips gently. "I missed you!" Taehyung hugged him tighter. "I missed you too." Jungkook's eyes sparkled at the sight of his beautiful baby.
"Where are we going for our date?" Taehyung asked as they began walking down the street hand in hand. "I just thought we could walk around. I don't really have the money for a date this week, but I really wanted to see you." Jungkook said sheepishly. Jungkook's family was extremely rich, but his father decided it would be good if he sent his son out into the world. He wouldn't be given any money and he would have to get a job to be able to understand the meaning of hard work.
"That's okay! I actually have to pick up something for Jiminie so this works out!" Taehyung smiled. "What does Jimin need?" Jungkook asked, "He wanted me to get him something from the jewelry store he had ordered." Jungkook nodded. "Let's go!" Taehyung giggled as he dragged Jungkook to the store.
Taehyung was telling the clerk about the order while Jungkook was looking around. Taehyung came up to Jungkook, "They said they're gonna bring out the order in a bit," Jungkook nodded his head. Taehyung looked at the rings, but one specific ring had caught his attention.

Jungkook saw the look in his eyes as he looked at the ring. Jungkook smirked, his and Taehyung's anniversary was coming up soon. Maybe he should get Taehyung a promise ring. "Babe? I got Jimin's order. Ready to go?" Taehyung asked. Jungkook snapped out of his thoughts and nodded. "Let's go." He held out his hand for Taehyung to take.
And in a month Jungkook had worked hard to buy the ring for Taehyung. It had been the first real gift he bought with his own money. Taehyung was extremely happy with the gift and never took off the ring.
[FLASHBACK OVER]
Jungkook's heart fluttered, Taehyung never took off the ring. "Taetae, are you gonna be my new mommy?" Narae asked. "What? No sweetie. Me and your daddy don't love each other." Taehyung said and just like that Jungkook's high was brought down. Narae pouted, "But I want you to be my mommy!" Jungkook quickly picked her up. He knew a tantrum was coming up, "Taehyung we have to go. But after your little 'date' I need you to stop by my office." Jungkook said. "But-", "It's 8:00AM right now so at 9:00? Okay, I'll see you then." Then Jungkook left, Narae's cupcake forgotten.
"What just happened?" Jihoon asked. "Honestly I don't even know." Taehyung sighed. They continued their coffee date and exchanged numbers, Jihoon took the bus back home while Taehyung had to go meet the person he was dreading to see.
