65: Coffee Shop Talk

It had been a week since Violet had met Johnny and she had got his number after he had asked for hers off of Sophia. Today Violet and Johnny had arranged to meet up. Violet walked downstairs to see Lily.
"Hey. Where's Jakob?" Violet asks.
"At work." Lily answers.
"Of course he is. At least your here for once I guess." Violet says going over and sitting on the couch putting her shoes on.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Lily asks
"You and Jakob are always at work I never see you guys anymore." Violet says.
"Well if you got a job that wouldn't be the case. Your 25 now not 17." Lily says.
"I am still a social media influencer so I get paid for that." Violet tells her.
"Yeah but not a lot because you aren't acting or singing anymore." Lily replies as Violet stands up and grabs her bag.
"Whatever. I am going to meet Johnny." Violet says grabbing her coat.
"Who the hell is Johnny?" Lily asks.
"Not that it's any of your business but he is a new friend." Violet says. "Got to go. See you."
Violet then leaves before Lily could say anything else to her.

Violet makes it to the coffee shop where she was meeting Johnny and sees Johnny already there sitting down with two coffees.
"Hey." Violet says as she makes it over to him. "So sorry I am late. My cousin wanted to talk."
"It's okay. Don't worry." Johnny says. "I got you a coffee."
"Thank you so much." Violet says. "Let me pay you back."
"Don't worry. It's on me. I put two sugars in. Hope that's right." Johnny tells her.
"Yeah. How did you know?" Violet asks.
"Sophia told me." Johnny says with a laugh.
"Of course she did." Violet says also laughing. "What else says she told you about me?"
"Everything." Johnny says leaning foreword.
"Yeah like what?" Violet asks also leaning forward onto the table.
"That guy you were with when we met. She told me you guys use to date." Johnny says.
"Yeah. That was a long time ago." Violet says. "It was way before I moved to England."
"Really?" Johnny asks before taking a sip of his drink.
"Really. Anyway how about you tell me a bit about yourself." Violet says.
"I don't really think there is anything interesting about me." Johnny says.
"There's something interesting about everyone." Violet argues.
"Well I'm not everyone." Johnny says causing Violet to laugh.
"Come on you have to have a interesting story to tell me." Violet says.
"Okay. Uhmmm well... when I was younger I wanted to be a policeman but that dream quickly died." Johnny tells her.
"Why? What happened?" Violet asks.
"Let's just say I didn't past the first day at the Police Academy." Johnny says with a life.
"Oh." Violet says with a small laugh.
"Come on. Let's go for a walk." Johnny says taking a sip of his drink.
Violet does the same before smiling as Johnny stands up.
"Yeah let's go." Violet says also standing up.
They leave the coffee shop and start walking down the road when Violet sees Thomas.
"Thomas!" Violet calls over to him.
"Hey Vi." Thomas says with a smile.
"Thomas this is Johnny Sophia's brother and Johnny this is Thomas my ex. But we are still are friends." Violet says introducing them to each other.
"It's nice to meet you Johnny." Thomas says.
"Nice meeting you to Thomas." Johnny says back with a small smile.
"I got to get going. Hopefully, see you guys around." Thomas tells them with a smile.
"Yeah. Hope to see you around." Johnny says.
"We should meet up sometime.. feels like we haven't talked in ages." Violet says.
"Yeah. That sounds fun." Thomas says. "See you soon."
"See you soon." Violet says before Thomas walks away.
"How long ago did you guys break up?" Johnny asks as they begin walking again.
"Oh god like 8 years ago nearly 9." Violet tells him.
"So quite a long time ago." Johnny says.
"Yeah." Violet says.

After a long day Violet goes home to find a note form Lily saying both her and Jakob had to go on work trips and they won't be back for a few days at least. Violet sighs before throwing the note in the bin then going upstairs and getting ready for bed before going to sleep.
