Days passed as normally as one can imagine, college students of Sta. Ines Academy are spending their time like any other students do. But of course, that is only on the surface. And yet, another day of school goes on...
Michelle's P.O.V
(Flashback dialogue)
"Take care on your way to school. If you make any friends, make sure to introduce them to us." My father reminded.
"I will, dad."
"We want to know because we only want you to be surrounded by good friends, okay dear? Go on now, have a blessed day ahead." said my mother.
(End of flashback dialogue)
I know, I know. It's not like I will have close friends, there's no one to introduce. If someone would get to know me better, they will think I'm weird, that's why they'll just avoid me. It feels depressing to be avoided, so I'll be the one to keep the distance.I sighed deeply. Why is life like this?
"What are you thinking so deep about?" Anna, who is walking by my side asked.
"Nothing important."
"Okay, then stop spacing out, let's hurry to our first subject. Only a few days had passed, but that Serafin is enslaving us already."
She's so right. I don't hate chemistry, but because of our professor I'm loosing interest. Even though, we have to endure for the sake of our grades.Together with Anna, we reached the fourth floor of the chemistry building. We stopped for a while when the speaker rang with a special announcement.
"Good afternoon teachers and students, we kindly notify you all, that extracurricular clubs representatives will be roaming around to recruit members. Please kindly accept their short intermission during your classes. Thank you and have a good day!" said the announcer. An club for extracurricular activities? Should I join one? I guess I could try.
"Anna, are you interested in joining a club?" I asked her.
"Yeah I am. But I don't know what club to join yet."
"Me too. Well, the club representatives will be roaming and promoting later so we can decide properly."We entered the room after that and took our seats. Prof arrived shortly and started his lecture. I wish club representatives visit us already and intervene, the lesson is making me sleepy. And as if my wish has been heard by someone, two students knocked in and asked politely if they can speak in front. Our professor, looks like he doesn't want to be interrupted, but still gave way to them.
"Hello, I'm Bia."
"And I'm Erika."
"We are from the School Environmental Conservation Club."
"Or SECC for short. Our club aims for a clean and green environment, and conservation. We will keep our introduction as short as possible, so we will hand flyers to you guys, and feel free to visit or contact us through the details written there."
They handed out the flyers, and said their good byes immediately. I look at my copy briefly before slipping it into my bag. They left the classroom, and our professor continued with his discussion. The other subjects proceeded smoothly with the occasional visits from club representatives. I spent my break time at the cafeteria with Anna where we ate our snacks and chatted about which club should we join. She said she would join the same club that I will be joining, and I told her than I'm the same. After eating, I went to the restroom and bumped into that nun again and she smiled at me. Since it was the second time I saw her, I smiled in return as a courtesy. And now, our last subject, Microbiology, is about to end. I had the whole afternoon to think about the clubs, and I think I decided which should I join. After we are dismissed, I think I still have extra time to go there and join them.I will inform Anna that I want to join the School Environmental Conservation Club, and ask her if she wants to join too. According to the flyer, their club room is open until 9:00 pm, because there are club members that attend night classes.
