So happy to have you here, so allow me to explain the plot of my work for you.
This story will be about the Marauder years at howarts... mostly. That's the complex part. See, it starts at the end. Sirius' journey in Azkaban and how it affects him mentally. It's an explanation for the whole "Nice one, James!" Where to stay sane in prison, Sirius goes through all his memories from school and starts getting mixed up with both realities.
Think of his coping mechanism as that scene from inside out, the sad memories the dementors give him are connected to his happy ones. You can't have joy without sadness.
We go through their growing-up story and connect it with what happens on the books. That's basically it.
This story includes some of my favorite head-canons, so it's not entirely all my creative doings. If there's a specific one you'd like to suggest, please mention it in the comments or through pm :)

(UPDATE!: I began plotting this book WAAYYY back over in 2021, and have only managed to fully write the first chapter. That means, it will only remain a one-shot for now. I've had sooo much planned for the story, yet don't really have the time to carry through. If you have any ideas on how I could continue this story, please feel free to comment.
