Two pairs of eyes glared at me with disappointment and anger. I sat there silently shielding myself from their burning glares.
My parents yelled at me but all I could think about was how free and alive I had felt on Indigo's back, and the wind whipping my hair. But my dreams were shattered when I was told these words.
"Rosetta you can't get out of the boundary of the castle, you may not ride dragons again. Now go to your room to think about the decisions you have made."
12 o'clock
That night
I couldn't sleep. The words my parents said rolled around my head like a pinball machine.
I walked slowly down the stairs, avoiding the stair that creaked, and staying as quiet as I can I step though the door. The cool air hit me, I was shivering but I did not mind. I started to run down the grass hill.
Suddenly I tripped on a rock shaped thing and fell to the ground, losing my black leather anklet with a small midnight dragon on it. I hunt around the long thick grass, my clothing saturated by dew. I put my hand down and felt something hard like a rock. I picked it up. It was hard but it was light. As I picked it up I found my anklet next to it.
I walked inside cradling it. I flicked on the light and gasped, there in my hands was a small dragon egg!!
