celestia never really knew where the land of teyvat which she walked upon came from.
where did she come from? why was she the only one?
she never pondered these questions until one evening at the highest peak of her land, where the whitest and purest of flowers grew.
her land? was it really hers if it was already here before she had come into existence?
her mind throbbed with endless and revolting curiosity about her origins, but one thing was certain which she could not deny.
celestia was quite lonely.
and so her beautiful gaze rested upon the now night sky above her. with a graceful wave of her slender hand, she traced the stars with her dainty finger, and carefully crafted a series of white lines that interconnected with each other.
the stars that she had grazed glowed brightly, almost pulsing as a sudden gust and blinding flash emitted from them. celestia slightly moved back and squinted against the harsh winds and light as they ruffled her pearl white hanfu and hair.
when the wind had cleared and the light had settled, the stars which celestia had graced with her touch had vanished with no trace.
"meow."
when she removed her sights from the sky and to the ground in fromt of her, to her facination, there was tiny brown being with ears on its small head and long body with wide almond shaped eyes and slit pupils. it attempted to stand and walk towards its creator, but wobbled dangerously and colasped on the ground with a mewl upon taking a few steps. it looked up at celestia who had crouched in the same spot and openly spread her hands in front of her, gazing at the creature with a thoughtful expression.
taking a deep breath, it rose on slightly unstable legs and walked shakily towards celestia's open palms. it almost fell over again upon stepping on an area that wasn't stable ground, but it had learned from its past mistake by now, quickly twisting its body weight away to regain a sense of balance.
it slowly continued its trip towards the divine and after a few more mishaps, reached her palms and bowed its head, touching them gently with its nose.
a soft golden glow emitted from where nose met hand and elegant whisps slowly formed and surrounded the two, dancing, as gold streaks spread from its nose to form beautiful designs along its brown-furred body, meeting at the end to form a tail of brown faded into gold.
when the cat opened its now [e/c] eyes, flecked with gold, dawn approached behind it, blanketing the two and qingyun peak with a soft peach.
the divine gazed at one of the many nameless white flowers, then at the first constellation who was fascinated by its newly formed tail.
as the rising sun peeked from the many rolling hills and proud mountains of liyue, celestia spoke to the cat with a silky voice, plucking the white flower with a careful elegance and placing it behind the cat's ear where it wouldn't fall. "from this day forward, you and this flower shall be named as qingxin, in honor of the qingyun peaks which where you were born."
as qingxin looked up at her with shining [e/c] eyes, for the first time in decades of her existence, celestia smiled.
for the lonely divine was lonely no more.
