Hi! So I never uploaded my explanation, sorry about that LOL. Here it is now.
All throughout the story, I give hints that Hana is no more by referring to her with a past tense like "she was a fighter" instead of "she is a fighter". I tried to make it seem as though she was alive but the wording says otherwise. The text messages parts revolving around the name Johnny are important. So as some of you may know haha, Jungwon's English name is Johnny. I decided to incorporate his name into the story as a way of indirectly calling out to Jungwon. The text messages were Jungwon's consciousness trying to wake himself up and face reality while he was still able to get out of his dream, obviously it didn't work because he turned a blind eye at it and acted as if it didn't exist. Later on at the carnival, the horror house has the name Johnny as well. This was his consciousness trying to wake him up for the last time before giving up, before he went too far into the dream. Again he ignored it. Okay so now I'll explain why the skips were so long in time and why it skipped months. As many of you who sleep may know, your dreams normally skip small unimportant details and long time frames. In Jungwon's case, his dream is skipping the unimportant months and going straight to the big parts. He has slight "memory" of the passed months but they never happened because it was a fiction of imagination. Hana acts weird and creepy all throughout her parts in the story because of the fact she's dead and isn't there anymore. It was like a demon possessed her and her looks and body was just a shell. She may have looked like Hana but she didn't behave like Hana. In his mind he painted her as perfect, but in this dream, she doesn't turn out the way he thought of her as. Why? Because she isn't Hana, just a dream doppelgänger. Last but not least the carnival lady. She represents all the people showing remorse for Jungwon in the real world. They tell him to be careful and take care of himself. Give him sorrowful eyes and looks of pity. His mind puts her there to represent the bystanders in real life that show him those looks and send him those words everyday for the past week and probably longer.
That's the end of my explanation, if there's anything missing or that you'd like to be explained too, please do comment it here. I wrote this story and the story line in about 30 minutes one day when I was bored so there's bound to be atleast a few plot holes. Have a great day!
