The first day

part 14

Michael pov

the next day amber and i woke up bright and early for school , we were actually so early that we decided to stop off at our favorite diner for breakfast, it was fairly empty there so nobody would recognize us,  we waited a couple of minutes mel and i were seated at our favorite table in the back right by a big window so we could watch the sunrise while we ate.
  she ate slowly  as if she were savoring Every morsel she place in her mouth, while I barely ate I couldn't help but think about her how much i love and need her and how devastated i would be if i lost her. i couldn't imagine another guy hugging her,kissing her and loving her the way that i do. this may sound strange being that we haven't been dating that long, but anytime something is going to well in my life it all gets ruined by something which just makes this relationship so stressful for me.

amber's pov

I was starving when i woke up this morning so i was so excited to be going to the dinner before school to get some good food instead of making some crappy half assed breakfast myself  before rushing off to school. but while i was stuffing my face i noticed that Michael was sitting across from me staring blankly out at the sunrise causing me to get concerned.

me:*touches his hand* Michael are you okay ? you barely touched your food is something wrong ?

Michael:*pulls his hand away* uh yeah i'm fine i just don't really have much of an appetite this morning.

me: Michael how long have i known you?

Michael: 17 years.

me: so i think I've known you long enough when something is wrong with you, so can you stop being so stand offish and tell me what the problem is?

Michael:*sighs* OK. but you have to promise not to judge me.

me: i would never.

Michael: i'm just worried that someone better is gonna come along and take you away from me since everything is going so well between us.

me: *bursts out laughing*

Michael: you see that's exactly why i didn't wanna tell you.

me: i'm sorry but you sound ridiculous Michael.

Michael: how?

me: think about it , if there was someone who i thought was better for me than you why would i have agreed to date you?

Michael: i don't know .

me: well i know why i chose you.

Michael: why did you choose me?

me: because you are a talented,brilliant,sweet, and handsome young man. and you know me so well which makes an amazing foundation for a relationship if you ask me. so the only person who can take me away from you is you. the ball is in your court so the only one who can fuck this up is you .

Michael: that's the thing too. what if i mess this up, do you know how devastated i would be if i lost you?

me:*grabs his hands* look Michael before we were dating we were best friends and i loved you then because you were you ,and now that we're dating i just love you even more because not only are you my best friend you are also my boyfriend .which means you are the only person i look to for comfort, guidance, and companionship. do you know how amazing that is to have ? i am severely blessed to have you in my life playing such an important role and helping me become a better person. so as long as you remain the same and do what you feel is right i will be there right by your side loving you until i die i promise.

me:  i love you too Michael and i always will *kisses him* now lets start heading to school.
