Comfort

I was chilling in the barn with the horses . I've been a night owl for a long time.

I heard the barn door  opened. I looked and saw it was Ty.

He was carrying two hot chocolate drinks.

He said " I heard hot chocolate is a comfort drink."

He handed me one of the drinks and he sat down next to me,

"Look I'm sorry about earlier."

" It's not your fault."

I heard a horse neighing from behind me.

The horse rested his chin on my shoulder.
I rubbed my hand on the horse's head.

Ty said " she likes you."

I said" I don't know why but she does."

I took a sip of my hot cocoa.

Ty said " how are you feeling?"

"After my fall or just in general."

He said " Amy told me earlier about she doesn't want to lose you again. What does that mean?"

I said " I can't tell you. You'll think I'm retarded."

"You can trust me. I won't judge."

"Okay but please don't tell anyone. The reason why I don't like to get on horses is because I was riding a hose in the middle of the night, some animal spooked my horse. I fell of and I hit my head. This happened when I was thirteen. I was in a coma. I died then came back."

Ty hugged me.
"That doesn't make you less of a person," said Ty.

The hug ended.

Ty looked at me. His look made me know I can trust him.

"Said that better than what my ex Kyle said. He told me that I'm stupid and made fun of me. He broke up with me because I defended myself when he called me worthless. I can't even drive."

Ty said " you're not worthless Nessa. He's worthless. He broke up with you by staying alive. That's shallow."

" it's fine. Whatever people needs to say I just let them say it. Only people who have been here is Amy, Lou, my grandpa , Mallory and my mom was."

Ty said " it'll get better Vanessa trust me.

He kissed my forehead.

* I have a traumatic brain injury I've had it for fourteen almost fifteen years. I'm eighteen. Ik it's hard for people to understand the struggles of it I though I should write it for the characters *
