Light shone through the white curtains that covered Damians windows, illuminating the room, revealing ever speck of dust on the little furniture that he had, birds chirped just outside the tower, taking in the sunshine while it lasted as grey clouds covered the sky only a few miles away a storm was taking place and slowly making its way towards the tower.
Damian woke to the morning sunshine, rays shining into his eyes, blinding him as he tried to get some extra sleep but was unsuccessful, he stretched his arms out far as he could yawning as he did. He stood up, leaning over the bed, as he began to tidy the sheets he noticed that there was someone else in his bed, right, he forgot, he had let Raven sleep in his room.
He looked down upon her sleeping face and couldn't help but admire how cute she looked when she slept, he moved his hand out and reached for her face, slightly caressing her cheek with the back of his palm. The empath began to stir under his touch, causing him quickly move his hand away and look away to hid blushing face.
Damian heard the sheets shuffle around her as she yawned, he imagined how she would look right now, tangled up in his sheets, rubbing away the sleep in her eyes as the light illuminated the beautiful features of her face that he just couldn't seem to get out of his mind.
"Morning Damian" he heard her speak his name in her tiny, tired voice an he blushed profusely, still looking away from her "Mo..morning Raven" he stuttered, god, why did he stutter, keep calm Damian, it's just the most beautiful girl that you have feelings for in your bed, he silently cursed in his mind, why did she have to be so cute..
"Is something wrong Damian?" Raven asked getting up from his bed and walking over to him, worry filled her voice "I...i'm fine" he replied putting his hand up to stop her from seeing his fully red face. Raven just shrugged it off and decided to go eat breakfast, she had slept in and missed the sunrise, she would have to meditate later, as of right now she was starving and needed something to eat.
"I'm going to go and have breakfast, care to join me?" she asked as she began to walk through the doorway "I'm right behind you" he said, running to his bathroom and locking the door, Raven was concerned, why was he acting this way?, she walked out the door and towards the kitchen expecting to see someone else, but it was only her, strange... usually the rest of the team would be eating by now.
Raven walked down the towers hallways, looking for any sign of her team. She looked in the training room first and was welcomed by Damian who was practicing his skills, she leaned in the doorway watching him for a while, mesmerised by the majestic way he moved, after he finished his training session he noticed Raven watching him by the door, a worried expression on her face "what's wrong?" he asked walking over to her and grabbing her tiny hands in his.
"The rest of the team is missing" she whispered, looking around, she had a feeling someone, or something, was watching them, Damian noticed this and also looked around but was not able to pinpoint what it seemed she was looking at, there was nothing nor no one there. Damian still had Ravens hands in his own so he decided that he would help her find the rest of the team "we can look for them together" he said, dragging her to the elevator where they walked in.
Damian pressed down on a button that would lead them up to the top level, where the common room and kitchen was, the button made a small beeping noise that confirmed the elevator doors to close and begin ascending. On their way to the top a loud bang could be heard just outside of the small room, another bang sounded soon after, but this time the sound was created by the elevator itself, swinging side to side, banging into the walls causing the lights to flicker then completely black out. Raven leaned against a wall, darkness encasing the small room as she tried to steady herself but as she did the wall she was leaning on crashed into the outside wall causing her to yell out and fall to the ground, wincing at the pain shooting up her arm. Damian ran over to her and helped her up making sure she was okay and not in too much pain, but once she stood up the elevator swung again causing both of the hero's to fall to the ground.
After a few minutes they stopped swinging and were able to stand up, dizzy from the incident Damian grabbed his pounding head and placed his hand against the now still wall. He blinked and when he opened his eyes again Raven was in front of him, grasping his hand to move it away from his head and with the other one she places it on his forehead, purple aura emitting from her hands as she began to chant the healing spell she had used many times before, once she was finished she removed her hand, Damian blinked at her gratefully.
"How are we going to get out of here?" she asked as she held out her empty hand, small amounts of her power blinking here and there, she was weak, looking around the darkened room, without a reply Damian pointed to the roof where a small trapdoor was, he hadn't noticed it until a few seconds ago, lost in thought about the previous events he hadn't even noticed Raven lifting him up and through the door, she placed him on top of the elevator and descended down next to him, their eyes adjusting to the blackness, "what do we do now?" she pondered "I don't know... let me think" he replied, he just hoped she wasn't claustrophobic because they could be stuck in there for a while...
A/N
Getting dark and spoopy, more of the plot next time in Enchanted (part 2), hope you enjoyed this chapter, once again not a lot happened... but who cares when you got Damirae!
I rewatched JLD: AW and am wondering if I should write a "what if" story/one shots like for example:
"what if Raven had gone through with it and killed herself?" (reaction of Damian, etc.)
"what if Damian had stayed dead?"
"What if Constantine did kill Raven instead of what he did?"
"What if Trigon wasn't able to distract Darkseid?"
I dunno, I probably won't have the time or be able to get around to it - but if you do lemme know in the comments!
