Jimin walked down the road slowly, kicking at the pavement.
What a welcome home.
Jimin thought to himself.
Jimin had gone home after practice to his parents arguing.
Afterwards, they sat him down and told him they were getting divorced.

Jimin saw a tall apartment building and an idea came to his mind. Getting into the elevator he let the soft music and the drowsiness from practice overtake him.

Bing! The elevator jolted to a stop at the top of the building.
Jimin walked out and climbed on top of the ledge.
He looked over the city, tears rolling down his face without him knowing.

The wind blew threw his hair but he didn't even notice.
Jimin closed his eyes and let his body fall. "Noooooo!!!" An arm wrapped around his waist and yanked him down to the ground.
His back collided with the ground and he groaned in pain.

Opening his eyes, he saw a boy on top of him. The boy's eyes were wide and full of fear. He was shaking viciously.
"Don't ever do that again," he choked, getting off of Jimin.

Jimin got up, rubbing his burning elbows. "I wasn't gonna-"
"I don't want to hear it," The boy interrupted. "Death is not worth it. Never do it again!"
Jimin nodded. "O-ok."

The boy started to cough.
"Are you okay?!"
"Y-yeah. It's nothing."
It was dark but Jimin saw blood in the spit that came out of the boy's mouth.
Jimin crouched over.
"Get on."
"Huh?"
"I'll carry you! Come on!"
"Ok!"

The boy jumped on and clung around his neck.
"So...what's your name?"
"Jimin. Park Jimin. You?"
"Kim Taehyung. But you can call me Tae."
"Ok Tae!"

When they got back to the street, Tae tried to get off Jimin's back.
"I'll be okay now."
Tae wobbled a bit and he looked quite pale.
"No. Don't be silly. Get back on.
I'll take you home."

Tae got back on reluctantly and Jimin followed Tae's directions back to his house.
"Wait! You live next to me?!"
"Yeah. I just moved in."

"Well then! Hello neighbour!"
Jimin said, shaking Tae's hand.
Tae giggled and shook his hand.
"I should go in now. Bye bye Jimin."
"Bye Tae!" Jimin waved to him as his new friend entered into the house.

"Oh! And..."
Tae turned at Jimin's voice.
"Thanks." Jimin mumbled before looking at the ground.
Tae nodded, flashing his boxy smile, before going inside.

"Mama!" Jimin could hear Tae's voice loudly through the open window on the top floor.
"I have a new friend!"
Jimin smiled at the cute boy.

"Cute kid." Jimin whispered before realizing what he said and shook his head.
After going inside he went into his room and looked out the window.
Tae was at the window in the opposite building.
Tae waved.
Then he breathed on the window and wrote something on it.
Jimin blushed and grinned.
"Cutie." He whispered.

Whatcha looking at?
The voice in Jimin's head said.
Shut up.
Jimin responded.
You think he's cute, huh?
I said, shut up.
He is cute. And he saved your life.
SHUT UP!
You gonna ask him out or what?
That's it. I'm gonna kill you.
You can try...shorty.
WHAT'D YOU SAY?!
Shorty! Ya hear me now?!
THAT'S IT!

Jimin's mom entered the room to see Jimin beating his pillow.
"Who's shorty now?! Huh?!"
Mom quietly turned back around and closed the door.
"He definitely needs a friend.
Or a psychiatrist. Not sure which."
