UPCOMING ACTRESS JOINS CAST OF GOTHAM FOR SECOND SEASON?

After much speculation over who would join the cast as The Riddler's fan favourite love interest, Evelyn "The Queen Of Hearts"  Hart,  in recent weeks it was finally announced that she would be played by new and upcoming actress Grace Wilson in the show's second season. Today we were given the opportunity to speak with her.

INTERVIEWER: Good afternoon, Ms Wilson. First of all I would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to speak with you today.

GRACE: Not at all, I would rather prefer to thank you, actually! This is - it's a really big thing for me. 

I: Since you're playing Edward Nygma's coworker and future love interest, would you mind if I test you with a riddle?

G: Oh, God. I knew this would happen, I'm awful at these! Go ahead, shoot.

I: I can be broken, I can be clogged, I can be attacked, I can be given and I can be taken, but I can't be removed or you'll die. What am I?

G: Oh! I know this one! The answer is a heart. 

I: I thought it suited the occasion.

G: It did.

I: So- How do you feel about the relationship in the comics, hm? The Riddler and The Queen?

G: They're badass. A literal enigma and a femme fatale trained to kill with a soft spot. Bad. Ass! Evelyn was always my hero when I was a kid. That being said, I find the show's portrayal of Nygma very sympathetic and relatable, while Cory Michael Smith is an amazing actor who does no less of an amazing job. and I'm excited to see their take on the relationship!

I: And how do you feel, bringing your childhood hero to life?

G:Terrified! I never imagined this would happen to me. It's like a dream. Not only do I get to play my favourite comic book antihero, I get to work with all these amazing and talented people! I'm just really anxious people won't like my performance of her.

I: You seem like you'd do it pretty well to me. Anyone you're a fan of, other than Riddler and Evelyn?

G: Red Hood. No, I won't tell you why.

I: Least favorite?

G: Joker. He's a little wannabe pissbaby comedian who abuses his girlfriend. 

I: That's fair. I'm admittedly a fan of The Queen Of Hearts myself. Would you mind saying a quote for us?

G: Oh, well if you insist. I can't promise it'll be good, though.

I: I insist.

G: Very well. Well, well, has The Riddler found a puzzle he can't solve~?

I: Chills. You're gonna do an amazing job, Ms Wilson.

G: Thank you so much.

I: Thank you for your time.

G: Oh, it was an honour. I still can't believe this is really happening!
