"Hey Timmis." Cossett said mockily, making a weird face at me.
I rolled my eyes. "What the fuck do you want Cossett?"
"I don't know.. Timmis.." He replied smugly.
"For the last time Cossett, can you please call me Timmy." I pleaded."Sure.. Timmis." He said, trying to hold a straight face, then snickering.
Yes.. My name is actually Timmis. Timmis Schenectady to be exact. I don't like my name, so I go by Timmy, but some people like Cossett like to call me Timmis instead. I hate it, but luckily I only have to deal with it for one class period. I opened my chromebook and browsed through some unsubmitted assignments, waiting for the teacher to walk in. I kept seeing Cossett look at me fron the corner of my eyes, but I assumed he was just mocking me in his head. I wouldn't be surprised honestly.
The teacher walked in and the students webt quiet, she called for everyone's attention."Okay everyone," she announced, "We will be working on a pretty big group project for the next two weeks, and no, you can't choose your own groups."
Everyone replied with a displeased groan.
"Oh come on, it won't be that bad." She said. "You can make new friends."
No one said anything, but you could sense the pissed off energy in the room. She pulled out a list and started announcing names. I patiently waited for my name to be called. I zoned out for a minute and immediately came back to reality when I heard my name.
"Timmy and Cossett." She said.
Shit.Cossett looked over at me with an amused look.
This was gonna suck.
"Okay everyone moves to your groups." The teacher commented.
Cossett got up from his seat and moved over to the seat next to me.
"Excited to work with you Timmis." He said.
I rolled my eyes. "Okay Cossett."
He sat down next to me and we received our topic for the project. I looked over at Stoney and Trait, who luckily got into a group together. They were the only friends I had in this class. I wish I was in their group. Cossett was writing something down as I zoned out. I was soon brought back by the familiar voice calling my name.
"Timmis.. Timmis." The voice grew impatient. It was Cossett.
"Sorry Cossett." I said, snapping back to reality.
I looked down at the paper to see almost a full page of notes, which surprised me, Cossett didn't really seem like to type of person to try, but then again, I didn't really know Cossett.
"So what are we looking at?" I asked.
He gave an annoyed look and showed me the notes, "You would know if you were paying attention Timmy."
I didn't even notice that he called me Timmy at first as I stared at the long paragraph of notes.
"Okay I've got it now." I said to him.
"Good." He replied, going back to jotting down notes. I joined him and wrote down a few notes, and before I knew it the class had ended.
Working with Cossett honestly wasn't that bad.
