The First Night

I walked into the office for the first night of my job. I knew that there were rumors and all that about how it was an awful place to be working at but my mom said I needed the money. I arrived ten minutes early so I could see what I was getting myself into for the week. I started checking the cameras and saw all of the creepy animatronics on the stage. I checked Pirate's Cove and saw closed curtains and a sign saying sorry out of order. That made feel a little better since there was one creepy face that I wouldn't have to look at at all this week. Then I suddenly wondered why the place needed a night gaurd at all. What was I supposed to be guarding? Was I guarding the animatronics? If so that seemed to be stupid considering that the animatronics where so scary no one would ever think of stealing them. Well, at least I wouldn't think of stealing them. I checked the kitchen camera and found out that it was disconnected. I walked over to the kitchen door and tried to open it, but it was locked and I didn't have any keys. I mean, you'd think that the place would give you keys if you're going to be the night guard there right?
I walked back to the office wondering what could be so important in the kitchen that they'd lock it up over night. Maybe that was were they kept there money safe. I waited in the office until midnight, then the office got a bit darker. The whole restaurant was darker. Next I heard a phone ring.
"Hello, um. I wanted to leave a message for you to help get you settled on your first night."
The guy on the phone sounded like he knew what he was talking about so I listened. But shortly the guy started to freak me out. Apparently the animatronics could move around at night and would try to get into the office. Which explained why there were doors and lights to check, but it didn't explain why the kitchen camera didn't work. But what did I do if they actually get into the office? Do I sing a song and hope they don't shove me into a suit or do I just let them kill me? He never went into detail. I didn't even wait for him to finish talking before I started to check the cameras, I was terrified now, thanks a lot! When the guy was done talking on the phone, the cameras started to static. I clicked around like crazy until they came back on.
I searched every where for Bonnie and found him backstage. I put the camera down and curled up in a tight little ball in my chair and started to shake. I checked the cameras again and found Bonnie in the hallway. I ran over to the left door and pounded it closed with my fist so hard that I nearly broke the button. I was breathing so fast that I didn't know if I was getting enough air in my lungs. I checked the cameras again and found Bonnie in the hall closet staring right into the camera. I opened the door and looked into the hallway seeing only the creepy flashing light partly showing Pirates Cove. I put my head back inside the office and checked the cameras again. Bonnie was still in the closet and the other two were still on stage. I put the camera back down and sat there for about six minutes before I started clicking around again. Bonnie had moved right next to the door. I checked the light and closed the door as quickly as possible before he could get inside. I tried taking deep slow breaths to try and calm myself down. I opened the door and checked the light again and saw Bonnie staring right at me. My scream ripped through the air and I slammed the door right in his creepy face.
I checked the cameras again and found Chica staring at me through the bathroom camera. I closed the other door and clicked around some more until I found Bonnie backstage again. I opened both doors and checked both lights before I sat down with my back against the wall and started shaking so fast I thought my bones were going to shatter. I took a moment to calm myself down since it was just my first night. I hesitantly picked up the camera and checked to see if anyone had moved. I slowed my breathing and saw that they hadn't been jumping around the building in the last ten minutes. I kept constantly clicking around on the cameras and when I couldn't find one of the animatronics, I just closed both doors until I found out where they were. Chica rarly ever moved anywhere, but Bonnie was moving all the time. I couldn't keep track of him most of the time and the doors stayed closed a lot. I eventually started to just sit there and wait the night out with the doors closed, but then I started freaking out about how low my power was. I opened the doors, checked the cameras and waited out the rest of the night. I nearly cried tears of joy when it was 6am. I ran out of there as fast as I could and flung myself onto the ground outside then rolled over on my back. I never wanted to come back, but I knew that I had to. If my first night was this hard, then I knew that the second night would be much harder. MUCH, harder.
