Chapter one the beginning
I hear banging in the living room. I get up to see who's there. No one but someone is knocking? No banging on the back door. I walk slowly to the door shaking then I stop.I see there hurt and I open the door fastly "ARE YOU OK SIR" he doesn't respond he just lunges at me I fall to the ground I lay there. My body moves fastly and I push them off or I try to but they are too strong. I fight as long as I can but they are too strong. I hear the front door open in a panic when my auntie and uncle throw the keys at the thing. After they did that I managed to get away. I run to the kitchen and grab a knife. "GET OUT OR I WILL KILL YOU!!" I say in a fit I was shaking then I move on my own I stab him in the head. I pant as I see Coraline and my sister Emma. I grab the keys off the ground and I grab my sister and drag her outside and throw her in the back of the red car. I panic as I start it and I drive through the field almost wrecking a few times. I drift down the highway. I finally made it to the house. I get out as I drive. I see those things everywhere. I finally get to grandma's house and I see my papa. He tells me to get in the house. I don't listen. I run into the house and I come out with my sister Payton with my cousin following me "ADAM IF YOU DON'T WANNA COME THEN STAY." I say well putting Payton in the car then Emma tries to grab her but I push Emma away Adam gets in but me and my sister have a stare off "PAYTON IS STAYING WITH GRANDMA AND THEM...WITH ME!!" She says well she holds her fist to my face I push her and I get in at the same time as Adein.
I lock the doors as soon as my papa bangs on the window "OPEN THIS DOOR AVA!!!!" He tells me I tremble and I look down and I drive off. I wasn't thinking. God...I wish I just opened that door…
Chapter two the mistake
It’s been a week since we missed the last bus to bring us out of this hell hold.
When we met these people I had to do it, I had to kill the kid. He was gonna kill us if I didn't. I didn’t mean to here’s what happened. “DAMN I- '' I say before I stop the car as fast as I can. I open up the door to see an old friend. He wasn't bitten, he was fine he was hurt though. I get him in the car I sit down to see a grown man banging on the window I let him in. I grab the kitchen knife I have and point it at him. “Take off your clothes!!” I say as he looks at me like I’m crazy and I look at Adam and my friend and then my cousin holds him down well my friend takes off his clothes. I looked for a bite mark but I saw no mark so I sat down and sighed as my baby sister sat there scared I looked at her. And I held her in a hug as that guy was getting dressed again.
“Sorry I figured out bite marks show your one of them or your turning into one of them.sorry “ I say as I drive. “Hey I’m a bus driver we can get in my bus it doesn’t look like this is ending anytime soon.” He says “We need food, dumbass. water and bedding WHO KNOWS IF THIS WILL EVER END!!!” I say as I drive into a supermarket. I hit my head off the steering wheel. I hear loud bangs and screaming then I start to open my eyes and I see a group of those things following us as my cousin is dragging me into the bus as my sister and my friend and the man scream “FASTER!” I get up as fast as I can and I run to the bus as my cousin follows behind me.
I barely get in when I see my cousin trying to get in. I open the doors for him he jumps in and I shut it as they bang on the glass I grab my cousins arm and I hug him “a-are u ok huh?? Hurt bit anything?” I say as I tremble.
I get up and grab the grown man by the calor and I glare at him “WHAT WERE U THINKING HUH????!!” I yell then my cousin covers my mouth. “Shhh” they react to sound…see?” He says as he points at them they start to give up as we were quiet.
I slowly get up and I grab my cousin and I see the back full of food. “Huh u guys got food?? When…” I say. The guy looked at me “just go to bed kid.” He says and I walk over to the middle of the bus and I lay down to slowly fall asleep. I jolt up as I see him flying through the roads. “WTF IS GOING ON!!” I say as I was scared of how fast he was driving. “ON THE RADIO THEY SAID THERE BLOCKING OFF THIS WHOLE STATE SO ANYONE WHO IS IN HERE ONE THEY BLOCK IT OFF FULLY IS STAYING IN HERE FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LO-“ he says before getting cut off by the radio “the state is blocked I repeat the state is blocked so any civilians in the state still is on there own there are no laws in that state so plz do not think u will be charged with anything….please be careful and stay strong!” They say as it turns off. Me and him are just quiet we don’t know what to say we’re trapped in this hell hold we are dead I think before he starts to drive to a gun store he knows of and he turns off the bus. I realized what he was thinking so I nodded and we ran into the gun store and looking around me having my kitchen knife I slowly check the place for those things even people I don’t see anyone so we break the glass to get everything we grab everything we stay in there for a bit before he breaks into the back and he takes all there storage the back of the bus was full of stuff I see this won’t last long so I look at him and he shuts the doors and he covers them with trash bags I lay down with my to the seat next to my cousin and slowly fall asleep. I wake up to loud banging and I look out or the trash back to my friend I let him in "are you ok did u get bit??!" I say as he pulls down his sleeve and he shakes his head no I stared at his sleeve and so does the man "take off your shirt…" I say as I glare at him. He just backs up shaking a bit "H-Hey come on guys see what's up with the looks…” he says with a tremble . Soon after I grab him by the shirt and I rip it off of him to see a bite mark on his wrist he covers it up then he runs to the back of the bus and I grab him and I open the back and I kick him out and I shut the door. I fall soon after I hear screaming I look over fast to see my sister screaming then she coughs then she stops she’s quiet I run over to her to see she ruined her voice box. “Speak Payton say hi or something.” I say as she shakes her head I look around and sigh I just hug her. “Sorry I can’t help with it..” I say as I stand up and she looks down and I look at her and look away and I start to walk over to the front. “Hey let’s go to my aunt's house, ok?” I say as he nods he drives there and her car is gone now I don’t know if she made it out I open up the door to see my cat bubbles rub up against my leg I fall and then grab her and hold her I look around to see she took her own pets but not mine so I got pissed she left everything but I knew there was no way we could stay there so I had to take whatever I could have and then I grabbed bubbles and I took her in the bus with their huge bag of cat food and I threw in the back kinda tired he shut the door and then I looked over and then looked down.
Chapter three the monster within
…..Week later…..
I got captured by the raiders. I was locked up. I had to eat bugs. I would have died if I didn’t. I slowly move to the back of the cell. I hear footsteps and I look up to see my cousin Nate. “Hey…cousin.” He says with a smile.
I lay there glaring at him as he laughs. “You were always amazing with surprises huh.” He says his smile slowly fades and he gets up and he is pissed he opens the gate and he punches me and throws me out to kick me then he brings me into a dog cage and he throws me in and locks it and I stand there looking around and then it opens I get out and I hear yelling and screaming I look around to see about hundred people watching me I look over to see and dead walker walking around I look up from the dead walker to see my cousin on a chair staring down at me smiling.
I run towards the dead walker and I bang it's head on the wall then it falls and I fall down to panting then I look up to see a child my heart dropped I realized what I had to do I had to do it to survive I killed her.
I have been here about a year or two. I don't know, maybe less god I lost track of day and night they made me do screwed up shit.
I wake up to banging and screaming and shooting. I'm scared. I get up and look down the hall to see a man with a shotgun shoot the men I jump back and hide in the corner thinking about my sister payton and my cousin Adam and the old man his name is Jack I call him old man and me Ava. I begin to pant as they get closer I start to think and I look up to see them staring at me I sit there staring at them they break down the cell door I move back and I start to sweet "calm down I'm not trying to hurt you.." he says and he grabs my hand I pull away "I can walk by myself.." I say as I realized I talked for the first time in years.
I get up and fall down and I pant “ahhh….” I get up and I start to walk slowly then I stop “I know how to walk…” I say as I look down and I walk over to them.
I walk past everyone then I start to run. I flinched to the light. I start to walk around looking at things like a wild animal “hmmm?” I say as I look at a girl my age holding a knife up to me. I walk over to her with arms shaking “I’LL KILL U I WILL!” She yelled at me and I kept getting closer and I grabbed the knife away from her and I inhaled then exhaled. I hold the knife and I throw it at her. It flew past her head “watch self or I kill u..” I kinda say words wrong cuz I haven’t spoken in so long I walk off on to the road just leaving “HEY….hey!” She yells at me. I look at her “can I come please!” She says, I sigh then I walk to u and I grab her by the arm “fine..” I say as I was walking I stop “what is it?” I say as she looks at me she keeps talking and mumbling I was scared cuz I could hear people talking I grab her by the mouth to shut her up and we hide in the bushes and she bites my hand “ahh! Ow what?” I say as she looks at me angry and I look at her then she looks past me and she smiles and I try to grab her “ugh..” I say as I follow her and I look at the man and he looks down at me he’s wearing a cowboy hat and some boots his boots too dirty and bloody and he was riding and horse and he waved at us and he went on with his day I look at her and I looked confused “people not attacking each other any more????” I say as she looks at me confused and she looks at me up and down “uhh it’s always like this I mean I just got here but still always like this but I did just get here a year ago..”she says as she looks down “n-no people fight all time kill people everywhere that why I was in there I was scared of family get hurt u know I had to leave them they no forgive me…” I say as I look down then I start to walk “let's go!” I say as I get going and I run and I start to run to my old home then I stop “u know payton and Adam?” I say as she looks at me in surprise “u know them there the rulers of are city the biggest city in the heart or steel’ she says as I look down “ok..” I say as I start walking to the city we start to walk and then I sigh as where at the gates we are let in and I look around as I hide my face and I see a mask store I run over and I as for a mask he looks at me “what are u willing to trade?’ He says as he looks at me I dig in my pockets and I see a mask and I point at the one it had two x’s for eyes and a smile with its tongue sticking out I traded a clean knife for the mask and I put it on.
