The year is 2033, the sun barely rises, just another day of normalcy in the neighborhood. Twenty years have passed since the mass increase of the Intelligents, prospering through life as normal people would do. Millions of Intelligents that thrive throughout the country, watched keen and closely from the eyes of the government. In one particular home, a child wakes up, and does what any other child would do in the morning. He struggles to reach the tall chair, and finally sits down, turning on the television.
"Society Zulu's Ernest has proposed-"
"Today, we have been given word that-"
"The government has been watching the supposed Intelligents-"The little boy flips through the channels until he finds his favorite cartoon. His mother is busy, quickly gathering dishes, trying to clean up.
"Honey finish your breakfast, we have to leave in 30 minutes", she tells her son. As he continues to watch the cartoon, it is interrupted when breaking news suddenly comes on. The little boy changes to different channels, but all show the same screen. The mother comes circling around him, trying to talk to him.
" Honey-"
"Mommy, look!", he shouts, pointing to the television. She watches the channel, turning up the volume." And now word from President Darius", the host speaks.
"Good morning my fellow Americans, today, I have come to say that we the people, have been experiencing difficulties with these 'Intelligent' people. We have had over thousands of conflicts involving the Intelligents over the past twenty years. Today, I have proposed that we bring the Intelligent enemy down, we bring them down to justice! Today, we shall put an end to the conflicts once and for all!"
"Mommy, are we Intelligents?", the little boy asks. As the crowd begin to cheer, a red laser is pointed to the president, going from the podium, and slowly making its way to his head. A Secret Service agent tackles the president just in time, before the shot was fired. The crowd began to scream, scattering everywhere. The camera pans to where the sniper was located, watching as they jumped down quickly, running in between the crowds. The sniper pushes people out of his way, even shooting at the guards to escape. Suddenly, the little boy's father bursts through the door, hyperventilating, running away from something.
" David? You're so home early, what happened?", she asks him, beginning to worry.
"We need to go, we need to leave NOW", he yells to her, quickly running to his room. She goes after him, while the child watches in confusion, starting to become scared.
" David what is happening?", she whispers to him.
"Did you not see the news? The president was almost assassinated, and they're blaming US. Get all the money you can find around the house, we need to go this instant", he commanded her.
" Okay..? But can you tell me why we have to leave right now?"
"Damn it Maggie, they raided the office", he replies frustratedly.
" They said something about making arrests?"
"They said everything BUT arrests, these people came in, everyone called them Seasonals or something like that, they just came in and started shooting up the place", he whispers ominously, as he rapidly packs a bag.
"Oh my god...", she replies in shock.
" Yes, now go get our son, we have to leave this house right now." Suddenly, someone bangs on the door. The couple turns around with fear in their eyes.
"Special Enforcement Agency! Come out with your hands right now!", a voice yells on the other side of the door.
"Shit...go hide our son! Quickly!" The mother picks up the little boy, taking him to a panic room. The knocking on the door continue to intensify, while the men outside yell for the people to come out. The mother puts the boy down gently, with tears already spilling from her.
