Around 5:00 I place a pizza on a table giving a bright smile.
"Here you go, happy birthday cutie." I smile to the little girl setting down the pizza and handing her a pair of plastic sunglasses from th gift counter.
" For me?" She gasps her big green eyes widening.
"Of course not everyday you turn 4." I smile giving her a little pat ont the back before turning and skating forward crashing into what felt like a wall. Falling to the ground with a loud thud.
I give a soft groan of pain looking up to see my knight reaching a hand out to my with his deep sincere eyes.
" My god Sophie I'm so sorry I was trying to say surprise you but you turned quickly and I-"
I smile brightly taking his hand as he speaks cutting him off. " I'm fine"
He gives me a bit of a worried look.
"Trust me I'm fine James." I look at his shoes." where are your skates?"
He gives a smile, "Caleb went to grab them." As if on cue a man a little saller then james with brown hair walks up with twi different skates.
The man gives a smile as he looks at me. " Wow. You must be Sophie."
I smile sweetly nodding. " That I am and you must be Caleb." I stretch out a hand in wich he shakes with a gentle smile.
"Get your skates on and meet me by the snack bar." I say with a smile.
I roll over to the snack bar feeling their eyes on me encouraaging me to sway my hips a bit as I approach the bar.
"Their here" I say with a small giggle getting giddy as they stumble toward us.
" that's him? That's his friend?" She stands in shock her mouth gaping open.
" hey you must be-"
" Ally" I interject looking at her open mouth obviously befuddled. " her name is Ally."
Caleb smiles at here she smiles and blushes, I give her a soft nudge as I take James's hand.
" let's go skate." I smile up at him as I grab his big hand with my much smaller one. I give a light tug as I begin to roll away to the rink.
"So you skate much?" James asks.
"Since I was little" I smile back at him. His awkward jerky movements make him stumble, I brake and turn to face him steadying him with a chuckle.
" how about I help you?"
He gives a smile and nods looking down at me for directions.
I pull him to the rink moving him from the carpet to the smooth hard floor. I make him stand there as I move his body and tap parts if his body where he needs to relax instead if tensing up.
" okay let's try it just how I taught you." I give a bright smile as we both push off skating forward going around the rink. I smile as I stop following him he begins to look around before spotting me
Giving a bright smile before he smacks into one of the barricades and tumbled head first over it, I gasp and skate over to him speedily.
" oh my god are you okay!" I kneel next to James who is
now sitting, his back leaning against the barricade.
" Yea I'm okay." He groans out with a soft chuckle.
I look over his body making sure nothing too serious is wrong. Noticing his muscular body and a small red mark on his head.
" does this hurt?" I ask pressing on the red mark.
He sucks in air through his teeth and winces.
I nod " stay here." I quickly get up to my feet and skate to the snack bar getting a baggie filled with some ice skating back to him.
" here." I lean over his body feeling his breath on my collar bone as I press the ice to his head, causing him to wince.
" I am so sorry."
" It's okay I should have been paying attention."
I give a soft giggle as I look at him pulling the ice away, taking a peek at his bump.
" what's the news doc?" He chuckles softly.
" you might have brain damage... But you'll live." I smile with a chuckle. I look into his eyes before I feel his hands on my hips and I realize I moved from beside him to straddling him.
My face turns a deep crimson." Oh my bad I-"
He chuckles " it's okay."
I blush moving myself from off of him.
" oh here I got you this." He pulls out a small box.
I look at him before taking it slowly and opening it.
" oh wow!"I pull out a silver bracelet with a couple of charms on it.
" I didn't want to get you flowers because I thought it was too plain."
" I-I can't take this from you." I stutter trying to give it back.
" if course you can." He takes the bracelet and hooking it around my wrist.
" It's beautiful thank you." I smile.
" A beautiful girl deserves beautiful things." He smiles.
I blush deeply as I get up, and James raises slowly to his feet.
" how about you go take those skates off and I'll get us some pizza?" I smile.
He nods with a smiles as I skate away to the snack bar ordering a pepperoni pizza and waited 15 minutes before it came through the window.
" thank you" I stroll my way over to the table I spot James sitting at.
" hope you like pepperoni." I set the pizza down with a smile.
" my favorite." He takes a piece along with me as we begin to talk about our lives growing up.
" so you own this place?"
" Yea when my dad died he gave it to me."
" is your mom still alive?"
" no she was never in the picture. What about your parents?" I ask as I take a bit from my pizza.
"Dad was never there mom was the one that cared for me." He states plainly.
" we're like opposites." I giggle.
" well opposites attract."
I giggle and the rest if the night we continue talking and I feel like I've known him forever.
