Shoyo was only 7 years old when his parents surprised him with a baby sister, and the second he saw her, he promised himself that he would protect her from that moment on. From that moment on, he made Natsu his world. He loved Natsu more than life itself. Two days after Natsu was brought home, he would go to school and do school work. He would go play with his baby sister for hours on end. Around a year after his sister came home, it was Natsu's birthday. All he could worry about was if Natsu was having fun. He knew that he wouldn't remember it, but all he could care about was if she was having fun right this moment. Two weeks after Natsu's birthday, his parents came home from a doctor's appointment and his mom went to talk to him. Since he was 8, he believed it, and he was excited about waiting for the day his dad would get better. After that, his aunt moved because his parents no longer had time to take care of him and his sister. His dad was in the hospital almost every single day, so his mom was always picking up more shifts at the hospital. The only time he ever saw his mom was when he visited his dad, which was only once a week. This went on for three months. Shoyo came home from school, and he went to do his normal routine and he started playing with Natsu but Natsu said her first word It was dada Natsu's first word was dada Shoyo couldn't believe it. He was disappointed that her first word wasn't "nii-san," but he was happy. He put her back in her crib and ran to his mom, saying "momma, can I go see daddy" because it was his mom's first day off in three months. It was a relief to know she was home, but he also barely cared. He wanted to tell his dad. down, but he was always confused. "You know how daddy is sick and is in the hospital?" Shoyo noded to say yes and said, "Daddy is better and coming home." Shoyo's mom started crying and said, "Shoyo's daddy's gone, daddy is" and Shoyo's mom choked, "dead" Shoyo started crying, but he also thought of Natsu and went to check on them. His aunt went to check on them and asked Shoyo what was wrong. Shoyo couldn't answer, so she left and Shoyo decided to hold Natsu. At some point, he went back to Natsu's nursery and put her down and said, "Natsu, from this day on, I promise that I will protect and take care of you." He said that as he was breaking into tears, he went to sleep in the bed that was in Natsu's nursery. He stayed home from school for about a week and did nothing but take care of Natsu .Shoyo Finally got back to school. He felt a tiny bit guilty, but when he saw a kid around his age, her name was Kaida. Shoyo went to see her as she had looked sad. Kaida answered with, "Well, my mom died a couple months ago, so I have to live here before I can go back to Tokyo." Shoyo said, "Ohh I understand, my daddy died a couple weeks ago." Kaida responded with "I'm sorry". They quickly became friends. Shoyo and Kaida became really close as they were the only kids in their grade that had dead parents. Shoyo's mom surprised him with a baby brother that was named Anuzu, named after his father. His father's name was Shoyo Anuzu Hinata.
