"Are you guys excited?!" Ethan cheered, pointing his camera at you and Hook then at Darius and Dante. All four of you looked at each other before shrugging, reacting with no energy just to annoy Ethan. "You guys are the worst." He sighed dramatically as a joke, making you laugh.
As Ethan did his introduction, you stood next to Hook, who you were silently speaking to about anything and everything. Once again, Hook was only here to see what they have, but you weren't sure what you'd get. "I like a little bit of everything.. so they better have everything." You whispered to Hook, quietly laughing with him.
The five of you would walk into the toy store, which you'd immediately depart from the group with Hook, dragging him with you. Much to your luck, this store did have everything - Marvel and DC figures, horror dolls, new and old wrestler figures, funko pops, plushies, and so on. It was like one of your dreams coming true, you'd stay in this store forever if you could.
"Should I buy this? No wait, this! Or no, this!" You asked Hook, holding three different items that didn't even belong in the same category. Hook looked at you before responding, a smile creeping up onto his lips that exposed his dimple that you loved so much. "What's so funny, mister?" You said, moving all your items under an arm to poke his cheek and then holding onto them again.
"Nothing.. I just find it funny how you found things so quick and we just walked in here." Hook said, the smile still on his face as he refused to break eye contact with you. You playfully scoffed and turned around, putting two of the items back and settling on your favorite one.
Meanwhile, Ethan was with Dante and Darius, who were watching you and Hook. "How do you think your plan is going?" Dante asked, holding in a laugh when he noticed you hitting Hook with a plushie. He eventually laughed quietly, his shoulders shaking up and down as he watched.
"I mean, I hope it's going well. I wish I was filming because this would've been a great toy hunt. Look at how much shit I found that I like and wanted already!" Ethan stressed, showing off the ridiculous amount of figures that he had found and put in a basket already.
"Wait, you're not filming? Why?" Darius asked, confusion settling into his features. Ethan got up from his squat and looked around to make sure you or Hook weren't near before he answered Darius' questions.
"I'm filming... but not really. I just needed an excuse to get these two out here, so they could realize how much they like each other. Do you know how exhausting it is to see how they look at each other and them not do anything about it? I had to take matters in my own hands before they get upset about the other moving on." Ethan admitted, then quickly pulling out his camera when he saw Hook looking over at the three of you. Ethan began to fake film a shot and made the two brothers in front of him act engaged in whatever Ethan was talking about.
"Do you wanna see what they're talking about?" Hook asked, pointing over to Ethan and Top Flight. You looked at him for a moment before turning your attention back to the figures in front of you, tongue poking out slightly as you tried to pick the one you wanted most.
"Nah," You answered, "I'm enjoying my time alone with you.". You weren't looking at Hook and he was thankful. The blush that spread across his cheeks was embarrassing and the chills he felt when you said that shot straight down his back.
"I'm enjoying it with you too." Hook quietly said, making you turn back around with a smile on your face. You enjoyed Hook's company, there was no doubt about that. He made you smile, laugh, told the dumbest jokes sometimes, and he was so easy to talk to. There was never a dull moment around him and you found that there were so many things you could learn from him, and you hoped that he felt the same about you.
"Are you getting soft on me, Hook?" You laughed, making his blush grow redder. You'd never see Hook this red and embarrassed, usually he was so calm and collected. Surely, you didn't have that much of an affect on him.
He shrugged, unable to speak as he let out laugh. "Never, but only if you want me to." He finally responded, only to realize that what he said could be interpreted as flirting. Well, you knew him better than anyone else, so he hoped that you understood that he didn't mean to word it like that. Or did he? Hook had been pining over you for a while now and his feelings grew a bit stronger day by day.
You felt yourself heat up now, smiling slightly as the swarm of butterflies invaded your stomach and made a home in it. You looked at Hook with such sincerity, which he returned, and you swore you saw love. It was a stretch, but you felt it too. Is this what older people meant when they said they were in love or when they knew who their soulmate was? Leave it up for you to figure out how much you liked Hook at a toy store.
"I'd like that, I like how much of a softy you could be." The tone of your voice now soft and gentle, something not done before. You hadn't noticed that you and Hook were closing the distance between each other until he was a few inches away from you, looking in to your eyes then down at your lips over and over. "Kiss me." You breathed, a sudden burst of confidence and mix of fear as this was all new to you.. yet it felt so right.
Hook pressed his lips against yours, his arms wrapping around your waist as he pulled your closer to him and let your chests touch. You'd hear cheers and whistling around you, hoping that it in your head and not from the others in the store. When you'd pull away, your forehead touched as Hook would pressed another peck onto your lips, making the two of you smile at each other once more.
"Well about time!" Ethan clapped as him and Top Flight walked up to you two, smiles on their faces as well. You and Hook looked at Ethan with confusion. What the hell did he mean by that? Ethan noticed the looks on your faces and it only made him laugh.
"Isn't it obvious that you two have liked each other for a really long time?" When the two of you shook your head, Ethan sighed. "Well, it was very obvious! So, I had to do something about it and thanks to my amazing plan today, I got you two to realize it."
When Ethan told you his plan, you couldn't really be mad at him. You walked out of the toy store with a bunch of new items, a large receipt, and a boyfriend that you found in your best friend. In fact, you should've thanked Ethan. As you noticed Ethan was filming you and hook you nuzzle your head into the crook of Hook's neck and place a kiss there but hide your head in embarrassment of Ethan filming the whole thing of you and hook.
