"Nalia! You up?" My mom called from downstairs.
"Yeah..!" I call back, groaning with my answer, still tired.
Finally getting out of bed, I get dressed. I put on a black oversized Pierce The Veil shirt, pale gray skinny jeans, dark gray vans, mix matched socks of course, and I top it off with my usual black jacket. Once I get dressed, I go to the bathroom. Do the usual cleaning up in the morning, and put in my contacts, putting on makeup soon after.
I check my phone to see that I don't have any notifications, like always, and put it in my back pocket along with my earphones. Grabbing my bag, I walk downstairs. I hug my mom goodbye, not grabbing any food since I don't usually eat in the morning, and walk out the door, walking towards the high school that was a quarter of a mile away.

"Maya~!" I yell to my friend that was standing like ten feet away from me with her back turned. She turned to face me and smiled.
"Hey, Nutella," she replied using my nickname that has been used since seventh grade. I laugh, and we hug.
"I see you still have your cat backpack," I remark, making her laugh.
"Yup," she answers, grabbing the straps on her backpack.
"I know it's only been like two and a half months, but damn. It felt like years," I say, putting my hands in my pockets and Maya nods.
"What class do you have first?" She asks me.
"Math.." I groan, frowning.
"Me too," Maya says, making me happier about math, which is very rare.
"Yassss~" I laugh.
"Who's your advisory?" I question her.
"Wallace. You?" She response.
"Moore.." I answer, upset that we don't have the same homeroom.
"Oh well," she shrugs.
"Well homeroom starts in like 2 minutes, so see you in A1!" I spoke as I started to walk and find Ms. Moore's classroom. When I got there, people were already walking into the class. I followed them in, finding a random seat near the back and sitting in it. A few more people started to pile in and take seats with their friends. I soon see someone I haven't seen since seventh grade. My ex boyfriend, Josh (Who I may still like). He looks over at me and smiles which makes me blush, and I think he notices because he laughs a bit which makes my blush darken slightly. He sits in the seat next to mine.
"Hey," he says, still smiling.
"Hi.." I mumble back, my blush still clear on my cheeks.
The teacher clears her throat.
"Welcome to class,"
