The boy brought the tea to his lips; the warmth poured in through him. A picture of his cheerful siblings brought a kind smile to his face. He glanced at the clock, there was still a while to go before he could go home to them. He placed the cup down and leaned on his chair as his aide read out the reports. He nodded as he heard about the fire that seized the town, killed a third and left hundreds as orphans, just as he ordered.
