"Little bit longer then you're going to have to put that back," Jay chuckled, using her wings to put a book on top of the shelf and into a locked box, "When you go, you can just leave it on the table and I'll take care of it."

"Will do," I say, rereading the same five pages for the one hundredth time, "How exactly do these work?"

Jay stopped, seeming to debate something, a somewhat grim look in her eyes, "I'm afraid I can't share that with you... It's a rule created after an... incident."

"Do you have a file on that too?" I question.

Jay shakes her head, disappearing around a corner, "Sadly no. I didn't have any real control over the incident, only the after math."

"Who had control over it then?" I look to make sure she wasn't coming around the corner before making a quick copy of the file I was reading, "One of you had to have control over it, right?" I quickly hide the original file in my hoodie seconds before Jay comes back into view.

"No one had control of it. We didn't know what was going on until OCs started disappearing," she looked at me as I closed up the copy, "it honestly terrified me, I thought I would have to get rid of a lot to fix everything that was ruined."

I stand and push in the chair that was at the table, praying she didn't realize the file on the table was a fake, "Did you get it all fixed?"

She hesitated for a moment as we walked down the rows of shelves, "Almost... we're still recovering files."

We exited the room into Jay's current bedroom that was attached to Thomas's mind. The room itself was relatively small, a loft bed in the corner, a few random crafts, and lots of paper piles...

"Welp, it's getting late, you get some sleep and," she stopped me for a moment, "Don't be too harsh on Matrix and Varian... they are still in their... prototype stage."

'Prototype stage' my ass... "Yeah... I'm working on a personal solution..."

Jay nodded, "Right... Just know I'm here where I can be, now," She crossed her arms, looking somewhat serious, "off to bed! You need sleep!"

I roll my eyes and start making my way to my room, "Night Mom, you get some sleep too." I smile softly as Jay squeals while I have my back to her.

"They called me Mom!" Jay squealed, running off to probably find Maddox and Michael to tell them about it.

I look around the mostly empty hallway, there were only two other rooms down this hall but I had no clue who lived in them. I had moved my room into this hall after a fight with Matrix and Varian, I'm assuming one of the rooms used to be Midnight's before her and Luna got together.

"Hey kid," I stop in front of one of the rooms, this one had multiple locks on it and some caution tape, "Unlock the door... I can help you."

I roll my eyes, a little unsettled by the familiarity of the voice, "Nope."

"Oh come on, I tell you about the file room incident and everything Jay isn't sharing with you," I turn my full attention to the door, it was opened as far as the locks would allow, "They couldn't erase my memory of the incident so they locked me in here."

If they're locked away... they can't be trusted, right? "What do you mean..? Did everyone know about it?"

"Yes, in fact, the only ones who still remember it are the main six, the other two that are always around the main six, and Jay," they pushed a paper through the crack in the door, "You might not recognize some of the people in that photograph, but they are the ones that caused the incident." I pick up the picture, jumping back as a hand tried reaching through the door, "All of you back! I'm so sorry, I'm not the only one trapped in here..."
