Midoriya's eyes crack open. Today is the day. His first day at UA High. The school of his dreams. He sits up, the covers sliding off of him in a messily folded heap. A turn to the left and a momentum shift forward and he stood up.

He walks out of his bedroom door, his posture slouched and the tiredness still present on his eyes. Walking over to the kitchen counter he finds a note written on notepad paper.

"Izuku honey, i'm off to the store. Good luck on your first day!"

So proud of you!

p.s breakfast is in the fridge"

Midoriya smiled as he read the note, putting it down and opening the fridge, finding a small plate covered in tin foil.

'Ive got about... an hour and fifteen minutes before I have to leave. Plenty of time.' The boy pulls out his phone and sits on the couch, scrolling through hero forums.

There were plenty of new posts that had been put up overnight. Debuts of new heroes, incidents that had taken place overnight, and most excitedly for Midoriya- his favourite show 'Hosu Hero News!' He taps on the thumbnail of the video, a blue line crossing across the top of the phone screen.

"Welcome back to Hosu Hero News! Today in the news we have a couple of intriguing stories. Firstly, the latest in a long string of incidents involving heroes being seriously injured occurred last night in Deika City. After a lengthy vacation, it would seem as though our back alley antagonist has struck once more, this time putting up and coming hero Sugarman in the hospital. We are told Sugarman suffered a serious injury to his eyes as well as a le fort 2 facial fracture and complete breakage of his jaw."

Sugarman was a hero Izuku had recently begun to hear a lot more of, making a multitude of recognisable arrests- most notably the takedown of the top fifty most wanted villain Death Arms.

"It is unsure at this time whether he will make a full recovery. If anyone knows anything that could help the police apprehend this suspect, please report to Detective Sansa in Hosu Police Precinct. In other news the Recently graduated and long awaited debut of Lemillion took place yesterday, with the hero managing to stop a bank robbery turned hostage situation. We are told that the hero performed flawlessly in both civilian rescue and villain takedown. We are looking forward to seeing where this shining young career ends up. This has been Hosu Hero News! Have a great rest of your day."

Midoriya sits in thought. He had heard the name Lemillion circulating around the hero circuit before. His train of thought is cut off by his eyes scanning the video about to auto play after the news. 'Join Us.' It reads. But Midoriya's eyes flicker away from the title towards the clock at the top of his phone. '8:28' Midoriya's eyes widened sharply. He had 32 minutes to shower, get ready and make the 25 minute walk to school. He was late.

Keigo leaned back in his seat, the top of his chair balancing against the edge of Jin's. "Hey Jin, where's Izuku?" The winged teen asks as he eyes up the empty seat to his right.

"What am I? His father?" Jin responds, his head on the desk. He looks up with a guilty face as he realised what he said. "Ohhhh."

"That's low, even for you Jin."

"Oi, you know what I meant by it."

"Yeah yeah I know I know. But still, it's not like him to be late."

At the front of the class the door slides open, and in walks Midoriya. The boy's jacket and trousers were creased, his tie was unaligned and his shoes weren't properly tied. The boy walks over toward the one empty seat left in the classroom, slumping down in his chair.
