A Note

A note,

Was all that was left behind.

"Why...WHY?"

Was the thought

Racing through her mind.

She raced up the stairs,

Her heart pounding through her chest.

She ran as quickly as she could,

Doing her best.

Tears streaming,

From her eyes,

She thought to herself,

"These must be lies!"

When she reached the rooftop,

Her heart stopped in her chest.

Her mother turned quickly,

With a face full of distress.

Tears formed in her eyes,

As she saw her little girl.

This would be the last time,

She would be in this twisted world.

The little girl shivered,

Afraid of what would happen next.

But in her heart she knew,

Her mother's heart was truly a mess.

Her mother wiped the tears,

From the girl's face,

Her own tears,

Covering her face.

"I'm sorry, Annabel.

I tried my best,

But I could not be the mother,

Who would relieve your stress."

Her face with a smile,

Caressed her child.

"I love you, sweetie."

And she left her side.

"No...NO!

Mommy, no!"

The mother looked back,

With a face full of woe.

She smiled,

As she jumped,

And left her twisted world.

Well, this isn't my best poem, but I liked the idea. For some reasons, I love writing sad poems. but I'm not a sad person, it's just that I like the response I get from people. :3
