I woke up to a headache I could nearly feel in my ears. I pulled my restless body off my head and went to the bathroom to find the Advil. "I look like a mess" I laughed at myself in the mirror. I grabbed the Advil from the cabinet and washed it down with sink water.

I went through my messages in the kitchen as I made tea. I texted Mina back telling her I was fine. I didn't dare tell her who drove me home last night. She'd give me the longest lecture to mankind about how he was a bad influence on me. I was happy Dabi didn't text me, hoping he forgot about it. Just a casual hook-up.

I heard keys rattling a the door open. I looked to see Mirko walking in. "Hey Mir" I smiled, she looked like she just got back from the gym. "Good morning Y/N" she walked into the kitchen. I watched as she grabbed granola bars from the cabinet.

"Do you wanna come to a dinner with my friends tomorrow?" she asked as I poured the hot water over a teabag. "Just a casual dinner?" I asked her. "Mhm," she hummed taking a bite out of the granola bar. "Why not, sounds fun" I shrugged. "Alright, I'm gonna go shower," she said trailing off to her room.

I had no idea who Mirko's friends were. She was only two years older but she had a different friend group. My phone buzzed on the counter. I picked it up to see my dad texting me.

Dad

Hey, do you mind stopping by the store to help with unpacking boxes and putting them away? Denki called in sick and I'm stuck in a meeting. Scar boy is there he'll help.

Really Denki? Wait, Scar boy? Dabi? Fuck!

Me

Okay, leaving right now

I changed my clothes and grabbed my keys. I left out the front door and used the elevator to get down to the first floor. It was a warm sunny day. The breeze was perfect. I entered my car and put the keys into the ignition and turned it to start up the car. I groaned thinking about how awkward it was going to be.

I picked up my keys and phone before getting out of the car. I entered the store hearing the bells ring from above me. I looked to see Dabi on his phone at the counter. He looked up as I walked past. I could feel his gaze.

"Are these the boxes my dad was talking about?" I called out to Dabi. "Yeah" he called back. I kneeled to open one of the brown boxes. Inside were chips to put on the shelves. I picked up the box and walked over to the shelf of chips.

"Aren't you supposed to help?" I asked Dabi. "I thought I could just watch you" he shrugged. I rolled my eyes in reply. He walked to the back and picked up a box. I picked up chips and stacked them on the shelves as fast as possible. "Eager?" Dabi said the same thing from last night. I could feel my cheeks heat up. I ignored him.

"Forget about it," I told him trying not to make eye contact with him. He was stocking a shelf right in front of me. "Forget about what?" he furrowed his brows. I looked up at him with a 'you know what I'm talking about look. "Oh, me fucking my boss's daughter in my car last night?" he asked with a smug smile plastered on his face. "Can you be any louder?" I bent down to grab more bags of chips.

"Can you?" he replied. It took me a minute to understand what he meant by that. I didn't reply out of embarrassment. I stood back up trying not to look up at him. I heard him chuckle. "Do you regret it?" he asked while he put the candy away. I thought about it for a second. I only slightly regretted it.

"Slightly, you're my dad's friend" I answered honestly. Dabi and my father got along quite well. My dad helped him out whenever he needed it like the son he never had. Dabi had major daddy issues from what I knew.

"Understandable" he shrugged. I watched him while he wasn't looking at me. The thought of last night swirled in my mind. 'Just a hookup' I reminded myself. "I'm kidding Y/N. I'll forget about it, it was just a hookup" he said meeting my gaze. "I'll finish the rest of the boxes," he told me. I nodded and finished what was left in the box as quickly as I could.
