chapter 1: The ruins.

Frisk pov.
I'm climbing the mountain of ebott. The legend of this place. From the battle of years ago. When humans and monsters shook the whole planet. The cracks from the battle are still there. Human were really powerful and so were the monsters. There powers clashed. Maybe Heaven could feel it. But in the end the monster were over powered. But that didn't stop them. The monster still fought with there life's on the line. So the world most powerful man used his magic to seal them all at the cost of his life. But right now. I need to met them. I'm going to show them that I'm brave. And I can win with just kindness. I got to the top. So where are they? I looked around for them. I continue going though bushes. I than see a big hole. I looked in it. "Hello?" Nothing. Maybe there nothing in there. I turn around but I see them. One guy: "so you made it. Took you long enough" why are they here? "What do you want? Can't you see I'm trying tonmet them?" One girl: "are you really that stupid? That legend is a fake. Ment to scare kids. I can't believe you believe such a fake story" she laughed. "It not fake! Don't you see what that battle has left! That means they exist!" Second guy: "why don't you open that mind of yours and understand that they are not real! Like anyone is going to believe that monsters fought humans! Nobody is going to believe that they are seal away! It all just a fake story!" No. It not. I can prove it. "They are real! I c-" than he grab my sweater and pull me to him. One guy: "This is why you mother is dead! Because her daughter couldn't face the real world!" No. She didn't die because of me. One guy: "now. Why don't you join her!" Than he started beating the crap out of me. They always do this. Every single day. I can feel blood come out of my nose. Third guy: "how pathetic" third girl: "weakling like you shouldn't exist" one guy: "I'm doing our world a favor. Getting ride of weakling that can't follow what our past ancestors. They don't belong in this world!" Than he threw me into the hole. I'm not weak. I just don't like fighting. I wanted to resolve it with out spilling blood. But everyone has always been against me since I was little. Did my mother die because of me? That thought I been thinking of for years. I can never find out the truth. Not even dad would tell me. He doesn't care about me. No one does. Maybe it best. That I die too. Maybe. I shouldn't have exist. I close my eyes as I blacked out. Hoping to die from the fall without feeling it.

I open my eyes. I got up. Where.....am I? I looked up where the sunlight is shine. Is that where I came from? Wait. What am I on? I look down. A flower bed? Did it soften my fall? How long was I out? I'm not bleeding anymore? Man this is weird. I may as well find a way out of here. I got up. I saw a stick. I grab it. Maybe I can use it to open things. I walked to the next room. I than see a flower? It petals are gray. I walked up to it. It looked at me. ???: "uh. Hi?" It talks and have a face. "Are you really a flower?" Boogie: "I have a name. It boogie" oh right how rude of me. "I'm frisk sorry about that" boogie: "no worries. Not like I care anyway. Your a human?" I nodded. Boogie: "well I hope your in for some trouble. Down here the monsters despise humans. They been waiting to kill them" really? I guess they won't let it go after all thesse years. Boogie: "I'm sorry but I have to do this" what? Than Vines grab me. The thorns are stabing into me. Boogie: "don't take this the wrong way. But think of this as me doing you a favor. You wouldn't want to know why" the Vines squeeze me. Than a big flower petals appeared. It was coming at me slowly. I close my eyes waitting for it to hit me. Than I hear the sound of something cutting. I open my eyes and feel the Vines letting me go. Boogie: "what?" Than I see something hit boogie and send him flying. I than see someone holding a big scythe looking weapon. ???: "what a horrible monster! Hurting a defenseless child! He walked up to me. I was able to get a good look at them. ???: "are you hurt child? Here. Like me heal you" he place his hands that are a skeleton? I was able to get a good look at him. A skeleton face? ???: "there we go. All healed!" I don't feel in pain anymore. What was that? Papyrus: "im sorry that I didn't introduce myself. My name is papyrus. I am the guardian of these ruins. It been along time since a human fell. You are lucky to have survived the fall. But I'm glad to have came in time" papyrus? He wearing a black and red clothes. But what I want to look at is the scythe of his. It long and sharp. "My name is frisk. Thank you for saving me" papyrus: "no worries Child! I'm always make sure you safe. Come. Let us head to my place. It much safer than here" he hold out his hand. Papyrus: "don't worry. I'm not going to hurt you. I only want to protect you and keep you safe" safe. I never been safe before. Maybe I should come with him. I grab his hand. Papyrus: "let us go before that flower returns" he than started walking as I hold his hand. We walked into the next room. The walls look ancient. There have grass growing out of them. Than papyrus stopped. Papyrus: "In the underground there will be puzzles in your way. You must solve them to proceed. Give it a try" there are buttons on the walls. There a arrow point to one of them. I guess that mean it the right one. I push it. I can hear it click as something moved. Papyrus: "nice job human! Let us move" he grab my hand again. We than enter a long hall way. I looked at the walls. There must be history to this place. The walls look really old. We enter the next room. Papyrus: "Monsters would want to battle you. Since monsters like to battle they would never give mercy. So why don't you show them mercy. Let practice on this dummy" Than the dummy came out of the ground. It has arms and legs.
(Battle begins)
"The dummy stand infront. Ready to help you train"
What the? What happen to the room? Papyrus: "when you enter battle. The room turns into a battle ground for you. That way we don't hurt anyone here" That sound. Honestly cool. Papyrus: "now you may have buttons that appears. A fight button. Act button. Mercy button and defend button. Fight allows you to attack you enemies but don't attack them. We want to show them mercy. So chose act" I nodded. I chose act. Papyrus: "since you are in command. You can tell me what I need to do. Like for one. Tell me to say hello" I nodded. I point at the dummy. *frisk asked Papyrus to greet the dummy* papyrus: "hello dummy! How are you?" The dummy didn't respond but seems happy for some reason. I see a yellow 50 appeared. Papyrus: "did you see that? It like it. Now we just need to greet it again and we won. This time you do your self" I nodded. I chose act. "Uh. Hello. Uh nice weather we are having" Dummy didn't respond but is enjoy the conversation. Another yellow 50 appeared. Papyrus: "great job human! Now there name will appear yellow. That why you will mercy them!" I click mercy.

The dummy went back into the ground. Papyrus: "You did it! Very nice human! There are going to be more battles down here. Even puzzles but I'll be there by your side! I'll protect you child!"
(Papyrus has join your party)
Papyrus: "before we keep going I notice you have a stick. You must find a better weapon. But only use it when monster that shield them self. When monster shield him self act won't work so you must break there shield. Don't worry. They will understand. lead the way human!" So I'm the leader? I dont really understand. I continue ahead into the next room. I than got into battle.
(Battle begins)
"Frogit challenges you darling!" Wait who said that? Never mind. I push act snd command papyrus to talk to it. Papyrus: "hello frogit! How your day?" Frogit looks happy. 35 appeared. Than a heart on my chest appeared. Papyrus: "I forgot to mention! That heart shape thing infront of you is your soul! It your very life. You also have hp. Which is your health points. My one already appeared but back to your soul. Frogit will send attacks at you. You must dodge them so that you don't get hit. Here they come" Than alot of files were coming out of no where and at me. I started dodging. There Lot of them. I got hit taking my hp down to 94. Papyrus: "your hurt! Don't worry! I have the ability to heal you! If you want me to heal you just say!" I nodded. i than chose act. I ask papyrus to talk to frogit again. Papyrus: "if you have time do you want to come over for some spaghetti?" Frogit jump happy. 50 appeared. One more and I should have spare it. More flies came again. This time papyrus is being aim for. He started blocking them. Taking bo damage. He must have been training. Frogit is done attacking. I ask papyrus to talk to frogit. Papyrus: "would you like to read some books with me?" Frogit really happy that you didn't attack. A 15 appeared. I went over to mercy. I than spare them.

Papyrus: "very well done! Now let us go!" I nodded. I continue forwards as he followed. We went into more battles. I did more puzzles. I found a new weapon. It a sword. "The warrior sword. Attack 50. A old sword that still sharp" I equip it. I battle different monsters. The battle were hard. There attacks were alot of them. They were also all over the place.  Papyrus told me that he can summon bones from the ground that he can use to block the a attack infront of me. I guess when your carrying a bone like scythe I would have guessed. He so nice. After battles he always make sure I'm ok. I make him proud by sparing the monsters. We got to a room with a black sheet. Papyrus: "ah. She here. Wait here for a second human" he than walk to the sheet. Papyrus: "hello? Alphy?" Than the sheet jump? ???: "what! Who? Oh. Uh. Sorry. Papyrus" it knows Papyrus. Papyrus: "it  alright. I hope I didn't scare you" alphy: "n-no! N-not at all your highness!" Your highness!? Papyrus: "alphy. I'm not the prince any more. I'm just Papyrus" alphy: "your right. My bad Papyrus. Who that?" She point at me. Papyrus: "that a human" alphy: "what!?" than it jumped again? Sending the black sheet in the air. Is that a dinosaur? Yellow dinosaur with a black sheet. Weird. It than grab the sheet. Alphy: "a real human!?" I nodded. Alphy: "oh my God. I'm talking to a real human! I need to introduce myself" she took a deep breath. Alphy: "h-hello. M-my n-name i-is a-a-alphy. N-nice t-to m-meet y-you" she sound nervous. "It nice to meet you too. I'm frisk" Alphy: "papyrus! The human talk to me!" Papyrus: "yes they did. I know you want to talk with the humans more but I'm afraid your time is up. It time for you to go" alphy: "oh! I didn't know! I'll be on my way out!" Than alphy race out. Papyrus: "I'll have to make sure the door close! I'll be back human!" Than papyrus left. What do I do? I may as well go ahead. I continue forwards.  I got into another battle.
(Battle begins)
Looks like a carrot. I can here my stomach growl. The monster heard it. "Make sure to eat your Vegas!" Than carrots like attacks came at me. I see a green one. I ate and it heal me. I see 20 appeared next to him. I ask for more. He send me carrots. I ate two. A 40 appeared. I ask for more again. I ate two again as I dodge the rest. 40 appeared. I than chose spare.

There still more to this place. I even found spiders. I followed them and read a poster. "The spider bakery" I than see spiders holding items. There a sheet of paper that said  13 gold. I gave them gold from my battles. They gave me the item. I than continue forwards. I appeared in a new area with a tree without leaves. I than see papyrus appear from behind the tree. He sees me. Papyrus: "You made it! Your more brave than I thought! Well done! I also forgot to give you something" he than I me a phone. Papyrus: "now when your exploring the ruins and I'm not around! Just call me and I'll come to your side! Now let us go inside!" He grab a hold of my hand. He than bring me inside. While I was walking I see something glowing yellow. I didn't have time to look at it. We enter what must be his house. Papyrus: "welcome to my home! Which is now your home!" My home. Papyrus: "You are now save here! I'll show you to the rooms!" I followed him to the hallway. Papyrus: "this room here is yours. You can do whatever you want. You must be tired. Go get some sleep. I'll have food prepare for you" I nodded. I walk inside. It not a bad room. But I do feel tired. I'll have a look around when I wake up. I jump on bed and close my eyes. I was right. Monsters do exist. Now I can prove them that I can survive with just kindness. Those battle I was apart of. Papyrus help me. I don't know if I can survive the battle on my own. I never been strong. I never will. All I can do is prove kindness is my strength. If I do that. Will be people be my friend? I'm so tired. I want to sleep. I close my eyes hoping to get a good sleep. Or try too.
Papyrus pov.
There. The spaghetti is ready. All I have to do is wait for it to cool down. I place it on the counter. I wonder if that girl voice is at the door today. I went down the stairs and walk all the way to the door. I sat down lean against it. I hear knocking. Good they are here. "Who there?" ???: "yo bro!" I stop my self from giggling. "Yo bro who?" ???: "no bro you!" I than started laughing with her. She knows how to make me laugh. I'm glad there someone still happy even when things are happening out there. I stop laughing. ???: "something on your mind?" Oh. Can see figure it out. "Yes. There is something. Do you think you can promise me something?" Something tells me I can trust this girl. ???: "sure. If it something I can do I will" I'm glad to hear. "If a human come though. Can you protect them for me?" Something tells me that she would want to leave. If I can't stop her. Than I need someone to protect her in my place. ???: "sure thing. I can do that" I'm glad to hear. "Thank you" I than got up. I wouldn't want the spaghetti getting too cold.
