Richie's POV
*Alarm goes on*
"Ugh fuck off!" I said well turning off my alarm, ripping off my sheets from my body. A cold breeze brushed against my legs, giving me chills down my spine. I got up from my bed. My feet touched the cold floor making my feet tingle. I went to the bathroom and turned the sink on and waited for the water to warm up, I put my finger in the water to test if it's cold or hot. it was warm enough to wash my face. I slashed water onto my face and looked into the mirror, it was blurry because I wasn't wearing my glasses. I dried my face off and walked to my nightstand and grabbed my glasses and put them on, I could see more clearly. I walked to my closet and picked out a white and blue Hawaiian shirt and black ripped jeans. I put them on and looked at the time on my alarm clock, it read 7:40AM, "oh fuck I'm going to be late" I said well running down the stairs to the kitchen. I grabbed some bread from the fridge and put it in the toaster, i remembered my phone was still up stairs charging. I run back up stairs and grabbed it as well as my charger. I heard my toast popped so I run back downstairs and grabbed it from the toaster. I put it in my mouth and grabbed my backpack and put my charger inside and put my phone in my pocket. I grabbed my shoes and put them on and tied my shoelace. I booked it out the door and grabbed my bike and peddled as fast as I can so I wasn't late for high school.
*Got to Derry high school*
I rowed my bike to the bike rack and locked it with my bike lock that I had in my backpack. And I walk through the front doors of the high school. I went to go find my friends, I usually know where they all are. I thought to myself on where they could be, Then I remembered that we had a secret area that we loved to hang out in. I ran down the hallway and turned left, I saw Eddie looking around of someone, so I went behind him and grabbed him by the waist and picked him up, swinging him around. "Richie put me down!" Eddie said basically yelling at me. I put Eddie down and scratches my neck, "Sorry Eds, it just looked like you were looking for someone so I decided to scare you, I thought it would be funny" I said with a chuckle. Eddie rolled his eyes and walked away from me, I ran after him, "Come on Eds-" before I could finish my sentence, I got intruded by Eddie. "Stop calling me Eds, I told you so many times" Eddie said looking at me, grabbing the collar for my shirt. I looked down at Eddie in a scared way, I has never seen Eddie like this and it was terrifying but I also felt something inside it was a warm feeling and my stomach was twisted in knots, I knows what is it, it's called stomach butterflies, I had never felt this feeling specially for my best friend. I stood there in shook and embarrassment, I could tell my face turned a dark red, my eyes widened. Eddie looked very confused so he let go of my shirt. I fixed my shirt and looked away from Eddie in embarrassment. I heard someone yelling at us in the background, I looked around to find Beverly waving at us, so I took Eddie's hand without thinking and run to Beverly. "Hey Bev, how are you?!" I said with a smile. " Hey Rich, and I'm good" she said then looking at Eddie with a smirk on her face. I looked her and asked why she was smirking, me not realizing, I was still holding Eddie's hand. I looked at Eddie in confusing. He looked shocked and he's face was dark red. "Whats wrong Eds?" I said with a concerned looked on my face, before he could said something, he was introduced by Beverly saying "Richie your still holding his hand" I looked at Eddie and looked at our hands that were still connected. I let go as fast as i could " I'm sorry Eds, I totally forgot about it!!" I said panicking, I could feel sweat dripping down my face and my face warming up. I was shocked that Eddie forgive me and then he gave me a big hug....
