Uhhh... hello-
__________

"Ready? Start!!'

Toshinori and I both jump into action as the crowds cheer our names. They mostly cheer for Toshinori as he won the last two fighting festivals, and has been labelled as the next number one hero. Honestly I think it's a little overkill, both me and Enji are pretty evenly matched with him, Toshinori just has less of a temper than we do.

"C'mon and gimme all you got!" Toshinori taunted as he dodged attack after attack from me, always seemingly knowing where I would be no matter how sporadically I moved about.

"Shut up and just fight properly, or are you chicken?!" I yelled back, seeing an offended look cross his face, and that distraction was enough for me to land a hit on him, on the side of his face.

He stumbled slightly and jumped high up into the air, almost like he was flying. I couldn't teleport into the air, so instead I used my strength quirk, forcing power into my legs before jumping just as high as he did, and we began fighting midair.

The punches and kicks that we both dodged only lasted a few seconds as I began falling, quickly teleporting to the ground to avoid damage to myself. I jumped into the air again, narrowly dodging Toshinori's foot flying at my face, and slammed my heel down on his shoulder, successfully knocking him to the ground.

"Ow!" Toshinori grunted, grabbing his now sore and probably bruised shoulder before shaking off the pain. I teleported to the ground and immediately again in front of him before we both engaged in hand to hand combat.

We landed hits on each other, my strength quirk in full swing as I strategically landed punches in certain places that were sure to wear him out and make him weak. But it wasn't as though I wasn't taking damage myself, to everyone watching it was like we were moving at the speed of light, but Toshinori's hits were hard and well placed. He landed a hit on my stomach, which caused the air to escape my lungs and I had a hard time breathing in again.

"Come on kick his ass Y/n!!" I heard Kenjai yell at the top of his lungs, clearly trying to cheer me up.

"Your stronger than him and you know it, show everyone!!" Kimiko joined in, Hizashi was right alongside them.

"If you don't win I'm taking the cat plushie back!!!"

"Oh hell to the no!" I regained my breath and teleported around Toshinori, somehow moving fast enough this time that he couldn't predict my movements. Behind him, in front of him, his left side, behind him again, to his right and-

I stopped teleporting and threw all my strength into one punch, crashing my fist into his side, and wincing when I heard the sound of bone snapping.

I've broken one or two of his ribs, and my wrist.

"Oh fuck!" Toshinori fell to the ground and curled up on his side, his face red and sweaty and I couldn't help the guilt that made itself present in my gut.

My wrist was screaming at me and I cradled it to my chest, protecting it with my other hand. My eyes were daring Toshinori to get up and continue fighting me, even one handed I'd still put my all into this match.

"I.." Toshinori gasped for air, the announcer and everyone else in the stadium holding their breath for his next words.

"..I forfeit."

It was silent, until a huge roar from the crowd erupted, Toshinori's defeat giving me a secure spot in the top three of this fighting festival.

And I was going all the way to first place.

Toshinori was wheeled off to the infirmary while I followed behind to get my wrist tended to. Recovery girl sighed as she saw us both walk in, kissing my wrist to heal it of its injuries before wrapping a thick bandage around it.

"Your still allowed to compete, but you will have minimal movement in your right hand, alright?" This was her way of telling me to not overdo it.

"Of course, thank you." I bowed to her, and turned to Toshinori who was lying on the bed, unconscious.

"Is.. will he be okay?" I asked the little lady, who was busy wrapping bandages around the blondes torso.

"Oh yes he'll be okay, just needs a bit of rest before he should get up again, he'll probably be up in time to watch the last battle." Recovery girl waved her hand dismissively, and I just nodded.

I stood next to Toshinori's bed and leaned down a bit, kissing his cheek softly and muttering an apology.

"Sorry for messing up your rib, but this was payback for training." I smiled a little before I left the infirmary, knowing he'd be okay.

Once back in my seat, I received pats on the back from my classmates and friends, a few compliments on me beating the "strongest guy in our school", and my quick thinking and fighting skills.

"I told you that you could do it!" Kimiko squished me into a hug, her face pressed against mine. I huffed out a laugh and patted her arm, thanking her.

"Guess you get to keep the plush for now then." Hizashi grinned at me, playfully punching my shoulder.

"You did good." Shota spoke up, his sleepy eyes gazing at me for a moment.

"It was so totally awesome!!" Kenjai pumped his fist into the air,

"You were like bam! And he went, woosh! And then you won!!!" The boy's arms went flying around to emphasize his explanation.

I burst out laughing at his sound effects to my match, before everyone quieted down to hear the second last match-up for the fighting festival.

"Next up we have Enji Todoroki versus Shota Aizawa!!"
