Nico POV
"I'm going to be fine, Will," I groaned, trying to push my way out of the infirmary. Will was standing in front of the door blocking my exit, and he had made it clear he wasn't going to be moving anytime soon.
"I don't think so," he said. "You're still bleeding through your bandages, and I haven't seen you eat in a few days, so I'm afraid I can't let you go."
I sighed and stomped my foot against the ground. "You can't make me," I snapped, trying to duck under his arm.
"I can too," he said, sliding so that his hip was pressing my shoulders between the doorframe and him. "I could tell Chiron you're not fit to visit your father."
"He called for me," I growled. Will didn't understand. His father wasn't always there, but he wasn't cruel. Hades wasn't always cruel, but he was sometimes, and it was generally best not to get him annoyed.
"And I like flowers," Will said. "But you don't see me neglecting my responsibilities to go pick them."
I rolled my eyes and shifted my weight forward so that I broke free from the prison against the door. "Looks like you're not all that, Will," I said, running quickly to my cabin before he realized what had happened.
To my great surprise, Hazel was waiting for me when I got to the cabin.
"Look who finally managed to get away from Will," she said, smirking.
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever," I sighed. "What are you doing here?"
"Didn't you get the message?" she asked carefully. "I was sure you'd get it too."
"I got it," I admitted. "I didn't know what it meant, though."
"There's something wrong with the underworld," Hazel explained. "I'm surprised you can't feel it. It's been off since after the war."
"But, we closed the Doors of Death," I asked, confused. "Isn't it supposed to be okay now?"
Hazel shrugged. "I don't know," she sighed. "But I think we'd better go check it out."

Will's POV
"What do you mean he's going on another quest?" I asked Chiron. "He just got back, and he's hurt!"
Chiron looked at me like I was crazy. "He has a small arm wound. He'll make it," Chiron said. "And, his father did call him, so he has to go."
Nico looked down at his feet. "I have to go, Will," he said quietly. "Hazel's coming too, we'll be fine."
"I think leaving tomorrow would be good," Chiron said. "You can get a little bit more rest, and Hazel can make sure her camp knows where she's going."
Chiron gave Hazel a pointed look. "They know," she said. "I wouldn't have come without telling them."
He nodded, and a silence fell over the group. How could Nico go on a Quest so soon? Again? And he was hurt! What if he got hurt again while on the quest...?
Then suddenly, it hit me. "Who's your third?" I asked. Nico looked up at me in wonder.
"Our third?" he asked. I shrugged.
"You need three people on a quest. Who's going to be the third?" I explained. Chiron gave me a look.
"He's right," Hazel admitted. "We should probably bring a third person."
Nico looked down at his feet and sighed. "Will, would you like to be the third person on the quest?"
I nodded quickly and smiled.
Finally, I thought, I'd always wanted to go on a quest.
