Miss Average: Chapter Two

As soon as I walked through the door to Math, my two best friends Skylar and Jessie grabbed me and sat me down.

"Tell. Us. Everything." Skylar said. i guess news travels fast, too bad there's actually no news to tell.

"I don't really know what happened, Jared walked me to class. I don't even know why." I replied, still trying to solve the mystery.

"Well," Jessie started, "if you're not together, can I go for it?"

Skylar and I just started at him. "Jared doesn't play for your team."

Yes, Jessie is gay. Adds more to the cliché that is my life, right? He's brilliant though, we gossip, talk about guys, fashion, he's one of the girls, i don't know what me and Skylar would do without him. Well, what I would do without him, Skylar has her boyfriend, Nick. And speaking of the devil, he just walked into class and took his seat beside Skylar, behind Jessie and I. As Mr Potts started explaining something I will probably never actually need in my life, i felt a tap on my shoulder and Nick passed me a note.

What's happened? Heard people gossiping about you but I didn't catch what it was about... -N

I sighed and wrote my reply, oh it's nothing big, they were probably just  talking about Jared walk- 

Before I  could finish the message back, Jessie took the note off me and quickly started to write his own message back. NOTHING BIG?! Rach, you have been crushing on this guy since you've been in diapers! Why am I more excited than you are?! -J

Will somebody PLEASE tell me what's happened?-N

Skylar takes the note off Nick and says, "hey, i want to be involved in your little note-passing!" And that's how my maths lesson turned into gossiping about Jared and I.

Jared walked Rach to class! :D -S

Hunny, you have SO downplayed that! OMG! He walked her to class WITH HIS ARM AROUND HER!!!!! And he isn't bothered about starting rumors! Because when Rach brought that up he winked at her!! WINKED!!!!! He is SO into you sweatheart. It's not long until the school will have a new hottest couple! ;) -J

oh dear. Ignore Jessie, he's having an OTT gay-girly moment. He's making it a lot bigger than it is. -R

I dunno Rach, it is kinda a big thing for Jared... -S

Sky's right. Why would the biggest player in school, beside's your brother, walk his friend's little sister to class? No offence. He's gonna have some sort of reason. He really could like you. -N

I don't know why he did it, but it's not because he likes me. It's a one-off. He's not going to be sat there over-analysing it like you three are, he's probably not going to even think about it again. -R

So you gonna shag him Rach? ;) -J

I think you're afraid of getting hurt, and that's why you don't want to get your hopes up. It's understandable. -S

I sighed, just leave it guys, nothing's gonna come out of it -R

Just then the bell rang and signaled the end off class. I couldn't get out there quick enough. I guess Sky is right, I just don't want to get hurt by one of the biggest players in school. Who also happens to be my borther's best friend. And the guy I've liked for as long as I can remember. And just too sexy for his own good. Or my good for that matter.
