Chapter 6

Hailey's POV:

"Those pancakes were delicious, Jack!" I exclaim as I hug him a big hug. He laughs and hugs me back for a second before I feel J.J wrap his arms around me from the back. Awe, I love these boys. "Want to go to the boardwalk?" J.J asks

I beam, "of course!" I shout and run to the door. "Hailey! You're not dressed!" Jack says and I look down at my outfit. Sure enough, I still have my outfit from yesterday on. "Nobody will know!"  I say and they laugh

"I can tell why you love her" Jack whispers to J.J but I can hear them. "I know" J.J whispers back. I smile and we all walk out to my new car. I guess they brought me here. We hop in the car, me and J.J in the back and Jack driving.

"Next stop-THE BOARD WALK!" Jack screams as he pulls out of the driveway and starts his way to the boardwalk. J.J intertwines our fingers and I look down at our linked fingers, then up at him. He's smiling but looking out the window. Can't hide it, Mr!

We finally arrived at the boardwalk and I see a big structure called 'Double Shot' and I squeal. "The rides are right there!" I say and point up to the top of the ride. J.J tugs on my hand and I turn to him, "let's go do other stuff before we go on rides, it's more exciting" he says and I nod. True, true.

I walk between Jack and J.J, who intertwined our fingers once again. "Let's go to some clothes shops, eat, then rides" Jack says and me and J.J agree. We walk to the closest clothes store. The first thing I see is a 'Dylan O'Brien' shirt and I squeal.

I pick it up and throw it over my shoulder, "I'm getting this" I say and hug it. J.J laughs and I re-intwine our fingers. I picked out 3 more shirts, Jack picked out 6, J.J picked out 4. These boys couldn't be any more different

We went to a pizzaria and got-wait for it-pizza! Surprise, surprise! "Rides time!" I say and drag J.J along with me as I skip. I hear Jack and J.J laughing but I don't care, I am going on the rides and right now.

I walk in the rides section and spin around, my arms extended to add extra drama to it. "Let's go on the scary ride first!" Jack exclaims and I instantly stop. He better stop! "No!" I say and people give me wierd looks. Move along, nothing to see here. "Yes!" they both say

I cross my arms, "eh-eh!" I say. "2 against 1, let's go!" J.J says and I shiver. J.J wraps an arm around my shoulder and we walk to the scary, mansion ride. Great, wonderful, amazing, perfect. Thousands of words could describe what I felt and those words were NOT any of them.

We wait in line and inside the big, black house I hear screams of horror. I squeal and squeeze J.J's hand tighter. He whinces in pain and I let go, I forgot he still didn't heal from all the bullies. He grabs my hand again, "I'm fine" he whispers

We're next. I get in, and since it's 2 people per cart, it's just me and J.J, Jack with some girl behind us. Great. Nobody to protect my left side. If I die... "You won't die, I got you, babe" J.J whispers in my ear and my stomach churns, he just called me babe.

I loved it. The cart, very slowly, starts into the crusty, old doors of the house and I shrink in my seat. Wonderful. Wonder-fucking-ful. Nothing happened so far except some darkness. "I'm coming for you..." someone says in a creepy voice. I turn and see a teenage girl with bloodstains, scratches, and half her head chopped of with a butchers knife to my left.

I squeal and hide my head in J.J's chest, he chuckles. "Sorry about that" the girl whispers to me and I laugh a little. Wait-it's just normal people. I have to remember that. The rest of the ride people jump out at us, of course I flinch, but I'm not scared.

One guy actually pulled his hand out for a highfive then said, "damn" and I laugh. We finally made it out and me and J.J walk out with our hand intertwined. "Damn, you barely got scared!" J.J exclaims. I laugh, "same too you" I say

"Let's go to the ferrice wheel now" he says and I nod. Jack left somewhere so we decided to meet with him at the car after the ferrice wheel. We we're next in line and we got in a purple cart. We started going up slowly in silence. But a good silence.

When we got to the top, J.J started to speak, "Hailey. We have been friends for a while, friends with benifits, and I don't want that anymore. I am in love with you and I want you to be mine. Ever since you helped me that one day I have loved you and I want to be able to call you mine, so, will you be my girlfriend?" he asks

Tears spring to my eyes and I kiss him. Sparks explode from my lips and I mumble, "yes" through his lips. "I love you" "I love you, too"

"How'd it go, man?" Jack whispers to me as Hailey climbs in the car. I smile and look down at my feet. Jack gasps, "get it!" he yells and I laugh. Maybe?
