camila's pov
i opened the front door and walked in, closing it behind me. i placed my bag onto the counter in the kitchen, and left my keys there too.
"hi, cami," my mom said, as i sat down on the chair.
i nodded at her, too tired to speak. my dad was still at work, which meant that it was just nate, and my mom at home with me right now.
after greeting her, i went upstairs to my room. i opened up my laptop and went onto netflix, getting ready for an afternoon movie marathon.
-
"i'm home!" nate yelled, as i heard the door close.
i kind of ignored it until i heard walking in our hallway. i felt the presence of someone in the doorway so i looked up.
"hey." i shrugged, angling my laptop towards me a little more.
"are you dating jack?" he asked, glaring kind of awkwardly at me.
i made a confused face and pushed my brows together. how the hell did he even find out anything, let alone assume that we were dating?
"no, of course not!"
"ok, well then don't spend time with him alone anymore, he's my friend, not yours. and anyway, if you guys did date, that would be disgusting! you with him?! ew."
i rolled my eyes but panicked on the inside. what if jack and i did end up dating, for some odd reason, and nate found out, and didn't want me to? i mean, i've always been close with my brother, so him thinking that my relationship was gross or bad would make me really upset.
i grabbed my phone from my bedside table and quickly texted jack.
