Chapter Five

"So, you're telling me Derek Hale and Stiles Stilinski are mates?" Lydia asked, making sure she heard Jackson right.

"Yup and we can't tell Stiles."

"Mhm, we just have to make Derek jealous enough to confess his feelings." Lydia thinks out loud. She was hoping it could be easy, but of course nothing is ever easy with Derek Hale.

The next day at lunch Lydia asked Danny to sit with them.

"So, why did you want me to sit with you guys?" Danny questions nervously.

"Because, I want you to date Stiles." Lydia said like it should be obvious. He is the third smartest in their class after all.

Stiles chocked on his fries. "Excuse me, what?"

"Not for real, just fake date. Mostly in front of Derek." She explains. "You, Danny will be coming to pack night."

Theo laughed, "this isn't going to end well."

"The story you two need to know is Danny asked Stiles out and you obviously agreed. Just be cuddly and kiss once in a while." Lydia tells them. "Oh, and Danny remember to throw some truth into what your saying so if Derek or anyone else is listening they won't sense a lie."

"Why does he get to ask me out?" Stiles is offended.

She rolls her green eyes, "just go with it, Stilinski."

The pack all rolled in together at five, including Danny.

Derek was reading when he got a scent of someone knew. He looked up from his book and saw the boy who kissed Stiles holding hands with him. Derek narrowed his eyes at Sti. "Stiles a word." He grits out, slamming his book shut and tossing it on the coffee table, then walking out.

"What is this about?" Stiles asked innocently.

"What is that boy doing here?"

"That boy has a name, it's Danny, by the way. We're dating so I invited him over to pack night, what's the big deal?"

Derek backed Stiles into the wall, "the big deal is that he's human, he's not apart of the pack. It's dangerous."

Stiles swallowed hard, "he knows about werewolves. He's Jackson's best friend, he also dated Ethan before he and Jax got together." He explained, he licked his lips and Derek's eyes followed the motion. "Derek, why are your eyes red?"

Derek shook his head and stepped back, "don't invite him again." And with that Derek went back inside.

Stiles took a couple moments to compose himself and walked back in, going to sit on Danny's lap.

"Everything okay babe?" Danny asked placing a kiss on the pale boys cheek.

He nodded, "yeah, big bad wolf just needed to talk about pack stuff."

Derek growled at the nickname.

"So, Danny, pray tell how you and Stiles got together." Peter says from his spot on the stairs.

"Uh- who's that?"

"That's Peter, Derek's uncle." Stiles explains.

"And he's a wolf too?"

"Yup."

"Oh- uh well, Stiles once asked if I fount him attractive in class, I did, obviously, but I didn't say anything back then. But then I kissed him a few weeks ago, and it was like sparks flew. I asked him out a few days ago." Danny explains.

Peter was listening closely too see if he was lying, and surprisingly he wasn't. "Hmm, interesting."

"Aren't they the cutest?" Erica cooed.

Stiles blushed, he figured to make it believable he should actually kiss Danny... so he did.

Derek walked over and dragged Stiles out of Danny's lap.

"Hey what the hell!" Stiles flailed his arms around trying to keep his balance.

"Danny, I think you should leave." Derek growled.

"Yeah, good idea. See you guys later." Danny waved and practically sprinted out.

"What the fuck, Derek!" Stiles yelled at the wolf.

Derek let the human go but didn't say anything.

"What is your problem! You have no right to get mad or jealous when you're too much of a coward to admit your feelings to yourself!" Stiles screamed in the alphas face.

The whole pack were watching this argument unfold. Maybe someone should make popcorn.

Derek laughed, "you think I'm jealous? That's hilarious."

"Oh so now it's a joke to you? Well see if you laugh at this, I'm done, I'm leaving this pack." Stiles turned and was about to walk away when Derek grabbed his wrist.

"You're not leaving this pack." Derek growled, flashing his red eyes.

Stiles laughed coldly, pulling his wrist from the man, "you're stupid alpha eyes doesn't work on me. And don't touch me again." And with that Stiles left.

"What just happened?" Liam asked upset.

"Derek." Cora growled. "Go after him!"

"No, he made his choice."

"You can't just let him leave!" Scott growled.

"He just needs to cool off. He didn't mean it, right?" Erica asked the pack in a small
voice.

"I didn't hear his heart stutter over any words." Liam told the girl.

"Yes, but Stiles is also a great liar." Peter assured. "Just give him some time."

That night Stiles decided to take dinner to his father. He feels guilty for not spending more time with him as he should.

He got out of his jeep and was about to walk in when a man spoke up behind him.

"Excuse me, are you Stiles?"

"Who wants to know?" Stiles asked, turning around. Oh- this guy is attractive.

"Oh, where are my manners, I'm Julian." He took Stiles' hand and kissed it, when he met the warm honey brown eyes again Julian flashed his eyes.

"You're an alpha?" Stiles snatched his hand back quickly. 

The man- Julian nodded, "yes, I am. I heard there was a beautiful human unmatted, I had to see for myself. Please forgive my straight forwardness."

"What do you mean unmatted?" Stiles asked confused. "I'm not a werewolf."

"Oh, no ones told you yet." Julian nodded to himself thinking.

Just then the sheriff came out the door, "son, who's this? What are you doing here?"

"I brought you food. Don't worry it's a real burger. And this is uh-"

Stiles was cut off, the man extended a hand and said, "I'm Julian. I'm just passing through. I needed directions. Stiles here helped me, thank you."

John shook the other mans hand, "I hope you have a great stay here in Beacon Hills."

"Oh, I'm sure I will. I'll see you around Stiles." The man smirked at the boy and left.
