Maki rested her head on the soft pillow, annoyed at the ringing from her bedside. Reaching for the phone with a groan she quickly answered the the call, curious as to who could be calling this early on a Sunday.
"Hello?" Maki spoke.
"Yeah uh hi, maki." A familiar sweet voice said from the end of the line.
Groaning at the voice of her best friend she quickly went to cancel the call before she got cut off by y/n.
"WAIT MAKI DON'T HANG UP I NEED YOU TO DO ME FAVOR PLEASE." y/n practically begged.
Maki sighed as her thumb was very tempted to press on the red button.
"You have five minutes and then I'm going back to sleep. You know what time it is?"
"I know, I know, but I promise. I wasn't planning on waking up this early before this guy threw me out."
"Did you fuck another guy off the streets again y/n, really?"
"Maybe."
"Jeez y/n" maki chuckles before continuing. "What kind of favor are we talking about by the way?"
"uh yeah about that... could you maaaybe pick me up?" Y/n asked innocently.
y/n was met with silence as she looked at her phone seeing maki hanged up. Muttering a small 'damn' while she cursed at herself, wondering what she would do now. It was pouring rain outside and she had only a big grey hoodie with a pair of black bottoms that had been soaked in the rain.
'I mean, Nobara's probably working at the bakery right now. Might as well ask her to drive me home on her break' I thought.
god damn you maki, you know I don't own a car and are too damn broke to take the bus home. I muttered as I walked to the bakery. Luckily enough, the place where Nobara worked at was only a couple blocks away from where I was so that means I don't have to be in the rain for so long.
after about a 7 minutes walk I finally arrived to the bakery only to be met by a closed sign. 'Ur kidding with me rn' I mentally cursed while reaching for my phone. Looking at the time it said 8:30am which meant that it would be another 30 minutes before Nobara would arrive. I went to grab my phone again, but happily for me my phone had seemed to run out of battery. "This day couldn't have gotten any fucking worse and it's only 8am. fuck".
I watched the rain slowly fall to the ground as my clothes got more soaked then they already were. There were only some few cars that passed by as It was this early on a Sunday morning. While waiting I had managed to find a small doorstep to sit by. Having being slightly shielded from the rain my eyes averted to a shiny vehicle parked a few meters from me. Muttering a small damn under my breath, I took a liking to the expensive car I saw. It made me feel more broke then what I already was. I stayed observing the nice car for what felt like an eternity but had only been a couple of minutes. The cold air began to hit me and it made by body shiver even more. As I was about to complain more about my situation I felt the door behind me open up slightly.
