Hey guys, I was reading everyone's great stories on here and decided to make one of my own. I've always wanted to read a specific book, and I realized I can make that. So, here it is...
********************************

"I'm going to boarding school," I tell my best friend of 5 years. I'm sad to tell her and pretty interested in what her reaction will be. I'm predicting tears because well, I'm me.

"OMG, that is so cool!"

I scrunch up my face. Okay so not what I was expecting. "Jamie! Was that excitement in your voice? You're supposed to be bawling about how much you'll miss my presence."

She looks at me and rolls her brown eyes,"Of course Ms. Dramatic, please hand me a handkerchief. My tears won't be contained with simple tissues."
I try to give her my best straight face, but start laughing after 2 seconds. "Your saracasm isn't appreciated, I'm being serious!"

"Yeah Meg, that screeching you call laughing just reeks of seriousness."
"Shut up," I mutter. "We're off topic, I'm really going."
"Okay. When, where, why?" she asks, pushing the brown hair away from her face.
"I guess I'm not going alone, because Lukes coming too." There's really no need to mention it because Lukes my twin. There's comfort in the fact that if I have to go, so does he.

We're sitting on my bed, in my room. A room I won't actually be seeing for a while. "We'll be going to a place called Caswell. School starts in like 2 weeks, so in a week. And because my mom's got it into her head that boarding school breeds better people." I have nothing against boarding school. Hell, it might even be fun, but I like where I am.

Jamie just smiles in response, "I think it'll be good for you. Don't get me wrong, I'll be super sad because you're my best friend, but when life gives you lemons..."
She waits for me to finish it, like I always do. "You step on the lemons and say I ordered fucking lemonade, " I say with a wry smile.

She laughs, which in turn causes me to laugh. I didn't know there would be so much amusement in this conversation I had previously dreaded.

"That's why I love you," I whisper. "You make things better."
Jamie reaches over and hugs me. "I'll miss you too."

Then the moment is totally ruined because as we move to separate, a strand of my blonde hair gets caught in her earrings. How? Hell if I know.
"I feel like I'm in a very clichéd movie."

Sooo...
