Natalie
Shushhh...if you see me,you probably won't know anything about me yet : A greasy haired teenager dressed up in hoddie, jeans and sneakers,as normal as you can imagine of any emo18 years old, there I was, strolling down the dark alley in the dead of night,as if ,relaxing.
Don't let the disguise/mask fool you!! The substantial world, that's how they call it.
Have you ever dreamed of the glamourous life with bedroom the size of a stadium and the most delicate nourishment and maybe even servants?Well,it's part of my life style, not that I particularly enjoy it nor it seems that i have any choice,in fact I am not considered a living being at all, transgetic organism, that's the name they gave for our kind purely because we were born from Genetic engineering, other than out of love.I live in a world that's full of dangers that might threaten my very existence, and I know how easy it can be to replace me.My friend Lizy told me they produce hundreds of clones in one go down the CIA Funded Research Centre(CFRC).I have a code 2617,but no name. That's all of my identity out of few dozen clone armies, although Natalie is my favourite cover name from the whole load i came up with.
It is so easy to blend in with the shadow, even better without any unnessary attention at midnight. This is my first mission after 9 years worth of training( The transgetic beings age twice as fast as humans).Really,it's a matter of survival.Being completely aware of the possible risks,I placed the mini Radar carefully on the ground.Good,no beepings or vibrations in case there are any sneaky weight detector (as we tends to weigh much less than humans.) or wavelength sensor ( to detect speed)...you see,the world you know can be so different from a different perspective.
Now I am safe to go invisible, don't laugh, all of the kids down CFRC have special abilities, mine is speed and when I travels faster than the the speed of light,my image fades,I reckon they must have inserted the kangroo or cheetah gene into my chromosomes or something,my gene might have as well been some world's famous athlete's.However,so very sadly, speed is among one of the most usual gift to have here, which means no garantee for my welfare.Liz on the other hand has the spectacular gift of mind reading,Amazing,i know. She said it's basically about detecting the motion, some really clever animals( like certain type of dogs) tend to have that ability, and if you are scared or upset, you act at different frequency, your body language or even slightest change in temperature can reflect upon your emotions.I bet that's why she often work as biological lie detector,a very nice job away from any life- on-line missions like this one.
So far so good, haven't encountered any sneaky snifflers (those with genetically modified nose) or sensors. My coach Matt has told me so many times the forbidden places for mortals are often the safest route for us,like those scary looking alleyways.Anyway,I need really get focused now.my mission is is simple and straight forward, that precious piece of document lay on the ambassador's table ,which i have been ordered very importantly to steal, for whatever reasons unknown.
Gradually, the monstrous skyscraper called embassy comes into view, the glass windows shining with the December's cool white light and the wall made of smooth marble.I am instantly filled with hopes by the sight of it ,I have made it this far, probably I might actually complete the task, alive. However I am at the same time unnerved by the lack of security measures and what waits me inside this forlorn looking building. As light as possible,I disabled the door's security system and the alarms.Holding my breath,I tipped open the heavy wooden door, have to be extra careful now,one false movement could trigger a whole lot......
