Aditi was more than curious and eagerly waiting for the day to arrive when she could open the second letter, it was almost a month away and only she knew how she spent these 30 days!
When the day of 4th July finally came she literally tore open her envelope. Keeping it within herself for a month was tough enough, she couldn't wait any longer. The location was simple too - Your Balcony
This envelope seemed a little heavy, but as the warning written just below the location she only took out the two letters first. She swiftly took a seat on her favourite swing in the balcony
4th July 2014
FridayHeyyy Adi,
I am glad you waited this long for opening this one. I didn't expect you too but nevertheless, it's sweet of you!How did this person know she waited?!! Surprised she read further ahead
So today on 4th of July I realized how much of an open book she is. Anyone can read what's going on in her mind just by looking at her face. Over the past one month I got to know that her balcony is her favourite place to be. I would always find her there pondering or cribbing or just staring or walking and talking. She would just sit there hours on end doing something or the other even when it rained she would sit there on her swing feeling the raindrops on her face. She was obsessed with it
And I being the goal keeper of my team was always at advantage of watching her. My defending team was really strong and I hardly had anything to do so it was my hobby to observe things around me. For the past one month my focus had narrowed down to observing her and her different moods.
She was around 10 - 12 years old and yet knew how to play a guitar!!! I was just amazed by her abilities! I couldn't hear her from where I was but the ones who did said she was in the learning phase but sang really well. I was curious. Just to test how well she played it I challenged her to come down and play it in front of everyone if she was confident enough. I knew she would deny it but low-key I really wanted her accept it. And just like I predicted she didn't play that day but surely a few days later she called all the kids in the club house and played a few songs. In the start she was hella nervous and messed up quiet a bit. I gave her a smirk as others cheered her on. She closed her eyes and started again and this time she sang one of my favourite songs. I just couldn't find any fault. As she ended, she eyed all of us straight in the eye as if telling us she will be back better. She may have lost the challenge today but she surely won a lot of hearts including mine due to her confidence and will to comeback!
Today I would like to dedicate a few lines of the song you sang that day to you....
Tere sang beete har lamhe pe humko naaz hai
Tere sang jo na beete uspe aitraaz hai
Iss kadar hum dono ka milna ek raaz haiP. S. : As usual original letter attached
P. S. S. : Gift inside ;)Yours.
She pulled up a small guitar shaped glass key chain from the envelope. It was a simple pink coloured key chain but it was beautiful to her since her name was written on it and it connected Aditi with her passion for music.
In the race for career and friends she had completely forgotten how much she loved playing the guitar and this stranger had just struck the right cord.
Forgetting about everything else she immediately went to her store room and looked for her guitar. It lay there covered in dust. Thankfully there wasn't much damage to it. She brought it out cleaned it with a wet cloth and went back to her balcony. As she was positioning the strings her eyes fell back on the letters and she started humming a song and with a smile on her face, she continued playing it on the guitar....
Zehnaseeb, Zehanaseeb
Tujhe chaahun betahasha zehnaseeb
Mere kareeb, mere habeeb
Tujhe chaahun betahasha zehnaseeb
ZehanaseebTere sang beete har lamhe pe humko naaz hai
Tere sang jo na beete uspe aitraaz hai
Iss kadar hum dono ka milna ek raaz haiHuaa ameer dil ghareeb
Tujhe chaahun betahasha zehnaseeb
Zehnaseeb, Zehnaseeb
Tujhe chaahun betahasha zehnaseebLena-dena nahi duniya se mera
Bas tujh se kaam hai
Teri ankhiyon ke sheher me
Yaara sab intezaam hai
Khushiyon ka ek tukda mile
Ya mile gham ki khurchane
Yaara tere mere kharche me
Dono ka hi ek daam haiHona likha tha yunhi jo huaa
Yaa hote hote abhi anjaane mein ho gaya
Jo bhi hua, hua ajeeb
Tujhe chaahun betahasha zehnaseeb
Zehnaseeb, zehnaseeb
Tujhe chaahun betahasha zehnaseebAs she finished the song her eyes fell on the football ground right in front of the balcony. Like a flash Aditi suddenly realized the reason she had brought out her guitar. Just as it was mentioned in the letter the goal post of one of the teams lay exactly opposite and anyone standing there could easily see the people in balconies of her wing. She took it upon herself to find this guy by the time the next letter was due.
