I whisper to Carolyn,

"She's behind the door. Should we prank her?". She responds with a very enthusiastic nod which makes me giggle. I raise my voice to make it more noticeable for Julia

"But you know what, she is actually quite pretty. I mean, did you see her face, she is stunning."

"No I agree with you Y/n. I mean if I was a bit older, I would totally ask her out."

I move towards the door as Carolyn gets her phone out to record what is about to happen next. I put my hand on the door knob and grip it tightly.

"She could help me with work any day.". As soon as I finish my sentence, I pull open the door and Julia falls face first onto the carpet. Carolyn and I burst out laughing about the fact we caught Julia spying on us. She slowly gets up and walks out the room. I leave Carolyn laughing clutching her phone and follow Julia back to our room. Ever since she asked me to be her girlfriend we have shared a room.

When we reach our room, she locks herself in the bathroom and ignores my banging.

"Julia open this door right now or I swear to god you won't enjoy tomorrow.", I scream at the door, hoping she would open it.

"Why don't you go and hang out with your precious Vicky. You seem to like her more than me."

I slide down next to the door, sighing as this prank has backfired,

"I was trying to make you more jealous but it failed. I love you more than anything. Everything that you do makes me feel loved. The way you look at me makes me feel warm inside and I know nothing will hurt me. I'm *sigh* I'm sorry."

Suddenly the door opens and I fall back onto my back looking straight up at Julia.

"Not so funny now is it?". She smiles down at me as she is trying not to break out into laughter.

"I thought you were actually mad and you would kick me out bitch", I reply with slowly getting up and dusting of myself. I walk over to our bed and fall onto it, staring at the ceiling.

"Now why would I do that to my girlfriend?"

"You did it about a year ago when we first met each other. That was not a fun experience."

Julia lies next to me, placing her head on my body, arms wrapped around my waist.

"That's because you pissed me off, that's why."

We stare at the ceiling as the last of the suns rays seep through, dancing on the space above us. Everything was just perfect. We hadn't had that many arguments since we first started dating but other than that we were happy. The people down in the town knew of us and we sort of became famous around them.

"I'm tired darling. And we need to be ready for that new governess in the morning." I yawn in reply as we slowly get out of bed and get our pyjamas on. Once we had done so, I laid next to her as sleep slowly took over me.

The Next Morning

I woke up before Julia so decided to read my book which I had bought a week ago. I am always the first one to wake up which means I have an hour or so to myself every morning reading. She always asks how I read so fast but she never has to know.

I sprinted. No I ran. I ran through the forest trying to escape the men who were chasing me. I had escaped many times before but I was always caught. But not this time.

"We will get you Cara. We always do and when we do you will be put in Isolation for a month."

This was their way of making me turn back. The Isolation at camp was your worst nightmare. Everything that you ever feared was waiting for you in that room and no one could ever save you. So I continued to run. The trees were swaying to the beat of my heart, echoing the fear that I felt. The leaves shouting out where I was as if beating me at my own game.

I only needed to run a bit further then they couldn't get me. The sanctuary of the green would keep me safe from the brown and murky world in which I was captive. I was so close but-

Soft mumbling from beside me made me realise that Julia was still asleep next to me. I placed my book down on my bedside table and pretended to be asleep.

"Darling are you awake yet?", she asked, her morning voice sending shivers down my spine.

"I'm awake now since you asked.", I said turning to face her next to me. Her orange hair falling over her face and out of instinct I tucked it behind her ear, kissing her forehead slightly.

"We should get ready for breakfast and greet the governess with our presence."

"Yes but don't you flirt with her or there will be trouble." I smile at her response.
