Falling For You

Chapter 1

"New York City?" I asked the bus driver. "Sure thing, that'll be $25.00 and the trip will take an estimated 4 hours" he replied. I took a seat in the lower deck of the bus and took out my laptop. Wow- 3 new messages! They were all from Max.

"Hey Bailey" and "When are you coming home?" and "I love u! :D".

I think you can guess who Max is! My boyfriend. I had been away in Washington D.C. for the week because my boss was retiring and he held a big dinner party there.

"Five minutes until we go, people!" the bus driver called down the aisle. I couldn't wait to get back to home and see Max and my family. The bus door closed and we headed off. Things were going well until the bus suddenly stopped.

"Oh what now?!" the bus driver moaned. A boy, who looked around my age, was running after the bus and shouting. The bus driver opened the door and let him. "Thanks" he said, paid the money and sat down. Sat down next to me! Oh no! I thought.

"Hey" he panted as he was sweating and breathing heavily. I looked at him. He had blue eyes and brown hair, like me.

"Hi" I replied. "Where are you going then?" He asked me.

"New York" I answered, " What about you?".

"Same" he replied, " I'm Connor, by the way".

"I'm Bailey" I told Connor. We sat in silence for a few minutes. I was typing back my message to Max. It said " Hi Max, how r u?

I'm coming home 2day! See u in awhile, love u!!! Bailey xxx .

Connor was leaning into me and saw my message and asked

"Is Max your boyfriend?" . I glared at Connor and replied,

"Why is it any of your business?".

"Well you did say in the message ' love you' " he replied.

"So what if he is?!" I asked

"Well, who would be dumb enough not like a girl like you?!" Connor answered. I looked at him. A cheeky smirk formed on his face.

"Are you flirting with me?" I asked. " Maybe " he replied. He looked at me and I looked at him. He raised his eyebrow and then looked away. I went back onto my computer and clicked 'send' .

I got a reply back from Max quickly saying, "Can't wait to see u! ". Max and I had been going out for five months now, nearly six, and we live together in an apartment. We only rent the apartment though. Soon after, I put my laptop back in my bag and fell asleep. I was sooo tired.......

"Wakey,wakes!" A voice called. I woke up and sat up straight. "Who are you?!" I asked the boy next to me. "Emm, Connor remember?" I replied," Wow you must of had a really deep sleep!".

"Oh yeah, how could I forget a handsome guy like you?" I teased. I read the screen saying ' New York- 20 minutes'.

"I can't wait to get home, Bailey!" Connor exclaimed. "Why?" I asked

"So I can change my shirt" he said. I looked at Connors shirt. Oh s***! I had drooled on his shoulder of the shirt. " I'm so sorry!" I said as I felt my cheeks burning up so I looked like a tomato. " I'll buy you a new one, emm, here's ten dollars!" I continued, handing Connor the money.

"Hey, no prob!" He explained. And before I could persuade to take the money, he took his bag and strolled out of the bus. We were at the bus stop! I grabbed my bag and ran off the bus.

"See ya!" I shouted to Connor. He stopped walking and looked back. Connor raised his hand and waved.
