Looking When You Should Not

One day I was cleaning out my Attic all alone, I probably shouldn’t have been, but I have a lot of curiosity built up inside from younger years when my mother wouldn't let me do anything, as she were afraid some thing would happen to me as did to my older brother.

My older brother was playing around in the woods, (He was 12 years old at the time and I was 4.) he found a tent and and went in side, when he went in side there was a very troubled and frightened man, as soon as my brother stepped foot into the tent, (More like crawled.) the man was up and armed with a 22 gage shot gun and must have thought my brother was some animal or something, but he shot my brother 4 times, once in the chest, 2 in the head and once in the shoulder. My brother was dead on the spot. The man was so afraid and regretful for what he did he could not bear to tell anyone anything. All at once the man was to work hiding and covering up the evidence. There is one other thing I have failed to tell you, the man that shot my brother, was my father.

My mother is now reluctant to let me go anywhere near the jail my father is in or have any contact with him, see my father was on extremely high doses of meth, and had very serious mental problems. My mother also wont let me near the woods or most public areas, I don't even go to school. I’m homeschooled with my younger sister, Ellie. She also doesn’t get to do much but, she doesn't have the same father as me so she has that.

Back to my main topic, I was in the attic and found a journal. My dads journal. This had information I was dying to know, like why he started drugs in the first place and this had all the answers. And I was bound and determined to get all the facts. (week one)
