Why Okami Exists (Plus Age Difference Between Okami and Moroha)

Koga was pretty infatuated with Kagome, and fell in love with her for her loyalty. However, that was a one-sided love. Kagome loved Inuyasha. He hated that Kagome loved Inuyasha, and he wanted Kagome for himself. He took it upon himself one night, to steal Kagome from where she and the crew were camped out.

She had no idea what was going on but agreed to let him 'mate' with her. She really was still pretty naive as far as that kind of thing went, and found out later (obviously) what that meant. She found out she was pregnant about a month and a half later, but she had already told Inuyasha what had happened.

To say the least, Inuyasha was disappointed, but he was fairly okay with it. He didn't overreact like Kagome thought he might, but Kagome knew she should tell him what had happened. "Always be honest with your significant other," She thought. So she hid from everyone else, Kaede agreeing to act as if Kagome was going to train with her for a long while. Kaede allowed Kagome to stay in her home, and Inuyasha was itching to check on Kagome.

Inuyasha knew though, that if he did the others would wonder why THEY couldn't visit Kagome. So Inuyasha shoved the thoughts in a box in his head and refused to go back and open it. "Kagome will be back with due time," He thought, and closed his eyes to sleep.

When Kagome had the baby, it was a beautiful baby girl, with violet eyes and black hair with a small strip of purple in the front. She looked at the baby fondly and said, "Okami. I'll name you Okami." After a few days, Kagome made the journey to Koga's territory, cradling Okami carefully.

Koga was there, as if he knew Kagome was coming. He looked at her and smiled. She smiled back. She then moved closer to him.

"Koga, this is our daughter.. I named her Okami.. If that's alright with you." She said, extending the baby girl towards him. He looked at her and smiled, a fatherly look entering his eyes as his eyes teared up.

"Thank you, Kagome... Thank you so much." Koga took the baby girl, then was gone quick.

Kagome turned to make the journey back and Inuyasha was there. She squealed and almost fell backward.

"I smelled you Kagome.. I had to come find you." Inuyasha said, holding her close to him.

She smiled and said, "Let's go back to the others."

Inuyasha nodded and lifted Kagome onto his back, sprinting back to where the others were. Kagome was smiling, nuzzling her face against his shoulder. Kagome missed Inuyasha so much, and it was obvious that it wasn't a one-sided thing. She was glad that she was still loved by Inuyasha, no matter what had happened with Koga.

4 years later, Inuyasha and Kagome's daughter, Moroha was born.
