Mist enrobed in violet dusk dyes
Suffocating the scarlet prophecies
The fog of lies, a transparent white cloak
A maze of shrewd compassion

Whispering memories of a golden vale
Beneath the quiet waters, clad by sun
The gentle, silent touch of nature
Innocent wilderness

Lucidity will never leave the shadows
Our gaze only unveiled to the dark
Under the tide are blackened omens
A warped lullaby in the drifting moonlight

Lost souls, quiet in the night
A tainted tranquillity for the dead
The unheard whispers of straying ghosts
Those hidden from the eternal sky

Sorrow within the walls of demise
Entrapped in a contorted labyrinth
The ruins of a reverie of light
The solitary shadows of a curse

And among the quiet, a lone blaze
Through the fog, a field of fire
'Neath the reaper, the one of dark desire
Who wears a mask of sunlit love

A starless night enwrapped the atmosphere, with vapours so dense and murky no mirth would intervene, only abyss could be more bitter. Crowds walked this blackness always in solitude, with stark winds like that of an empty leaf-bare warring every miserable face. For here, verdant hills once stood, and the souls of the abode dwelled in everlasting mirth. Woods once thrived with light, and now it only stood in darkness.

"He's done it, I thought we could stop him," a gaunt she-cat spoke, her voice a low melody, and her coat as black as the wretched night they watched.

"I'm so scared...could this be our death?" another she-cat lamented. And yet, each voice flew only to silence. Perhaps woe soon would betide each soul, but no omen foretold of that future, not of fate nor of birth. The moon and stars were a mere tale to them, and perhaps no sunrise would dawn to kill their eternal suffering.

Would no life bloom again? Would no stars pierce midnight's veil? Would this melancholy gloom forever be their abode?

Would dread forever be their domain?
