When I arrived back at the apartment and checked the clock, it was around 8:30, and I was drained. I decided I'd get a shower before finishing the day. I grabbed a fresh towel and turned on the shower. The water was cold, very cold, but I felt I needed it. A refreshing shower, to clear my mind and get a clean start. I showered quickly, washing my hair and body. When I got out and returned to my room, my window was open. I ran over to close it quickly, and I saw someone in the window across the street in the next apartment building, but ignored it. I shut the window and went over to my closet. While grabbing my pajamas, I heard creaking in the other room. I threw on my clothes and grabbed the nearest weapon. It was a lamp, I grabbed a lamp, what was that gonna do? I thought to myself before opening my door and going out.
