Chapter two: Falling hearts bleed out.

I opened my eyes just to see that the gremade had actually missed me.

The explosion rattled my brains but I managed to keep my focus up although it was a difficult task since that explosion did cause me some serious damage.

My level of fear was further increased by the sound of a cackling voice drifting over the smoke and ash screen in front of me, this was something I never felt before... in my career I have broken many bones but that pales in comparison to the feeling of losing not just one but two of my senses momentarily.

I was scared for sure, I had accidentally forgotten about the kid I met earlier and that might have cost him his life and all for my ignorance and forgetfulness.

That was until I saw something amazing.

The hooded man threw another one of those arm grenades when they suddenly disappeared and it was replaced with Kaguya himself and he was in a fighting stance if I had to guess it must be jujitsu.

'He actually switched with a live grenade! Who is this kid?' I thought to myself, shocked by today's events.

But what came next was truly a shocker to me.

The man threw another grenade at me this time and before something could hit me... I heard something in my head click when...

My body was covered in bright white light when suddenly I kicked the live grenade in half tanking the explosion like it never even happened in the first place.

"So... it seems that both of you have a Hyjinx huh? Oh well that doesn't matter to me at all... In fact that makes it a whole lot better for me to have some fun with you!" The crazy man said as his hand split apart to reveal a grenade launcher which he pointed at me.

"We're screwed!" I thought out loud barely managing to dodge another one of his live grenades.

"I wouldn't say that..." Kaguya said, looking in my direction.

It's then that I realized something truly terrifying... The person I was fighting alongside me, he was actually blind.

But yet even with that knowledge I was still surprised when another thing hit me.

'I have a Hyjinx! How... and what did it do? Was it super speed or light manipulation? I am confused here.' I thought to myself while barely using my Hyjinx to dodge another grenade.

"Let's try hand to hand combat then!" The cloaked figure said, charging at the both of us.

I felt a strange surge of power and excitement as both me and Kaguya rushed to meet this man head on.

It was like a cinematic fighting scene in one of those live movies, the man threw one punch at Kaguya but again to my surprise... They switched places and Kaguya's fist connected with the man's head, sending tumbling into the ground first.

But yet.

The man still stood tall and he managed to land a well placed high knee to Kaguya's stomach, sending him crashing into a chunk of remaining electrical iron fence... luckless for Kaguya the fence was turned off yet I could still feel the pain of that high knee.
