"Please, just let me explain!" Tim begged.
"Didn't I just tell you to get out of my house?!" Celeste yelled, slamming her hand on the table next to her.

"It was a mistake and it won't happen again- -"

"WHAT?! I've just found out that my fiancé has been cheating on me with my sister for the last two years and I'm just supposed to believe that THAT was a mistake?!"

"I'm so sorry, Celeste, if I could, I would- -" Mary's speech was interrupted by her sisters' outburst:

"BOTH OF YOU JUST GET OUT!" Celeste then aggressively grabbed Mary and Tim's arms, opened the front door and forcefully pushed them out of the house.

Mary fell hard against the concrete outside, and started wincing while holding her left wrist. Tim just looked at her and stepped over as he tried to go back in the house. His path was then blocked by Celeste.

"And where you goin'?" She hissed, pouting with her hands on her hips and tapping her foot.

"Come on, Celeste, please forgive me... it was all Mary's fault; let me back in..." Tim said while attempting to smile.

Celeste stepped back into the house, turned back at her sister who was rocking backwards and forwards on the floor holding her wrist and her probably now former fiancé, looked them up and down and slammed the door which was followed by many loud locking sounds.

"Come on, Celeste! Open the door! I said sorry, what else do you want me to do?! It's bloomin' cold out 'ere!" Tim shouted through the letterbox while banging his fist against the door.

"What did you mean that it was all my fault?" Mary said.

Tim turned round and saw that Mary was standing up now, still holding her wrist. Tim turned and walked over to the windows, searching for a sign Celeste.

"Oh shut up, Mary, this is your fault. We were gonna get married next month and this stupid affair you started has ruined all that now!"

"What? You can't put all the blame on me, Tim! There were two people in this affair!" Mary said sternly, still wincing.

Tim ignored and stepped back from the window.
"What about my clothes and stuff?!" He yelled, looking up at their bedroom window.

The window suddenly opened and Celeste looked down at them both.
She said nothing and continued, throwing 4 big black plastic bags out the window. Two of the bags ripped, spilling clothes and belongings everywhere.

"Hm." Celeste grunted. She closed the window.

" I can't believe it... I've never been homeless in my life!" Mary whined, looking at the floor like a child.

Tim just grabbed his bags all his clothes that were on the floor huffing and puffing, pushed past Mary and carried on up the street.

"Oi! Don't just push past me!" Mary whined.
But Tim was halfway up the street now.

Mary looked down at her two bags and clothes that were left on the floor, and looked behind her to see that Mr. Mister, the elderly street gossip, was watching everything that happened with his dog Crispy and a bag of popcorn on the other side of the road.
He saw Mary catch him and he stopped chewing, froze and looked around as if he wasn't looking.

"Ooh, Crispy, what have I t-told you about s-stopping in the middle of the f-footpath? Aheh..." He stuttered and smiled weakly at Mary, who was narrowing her eyes at him, frowning.
He took some more popcorn and started to walk away.

"Careful your false teeth don't fall in your popcorn!" Mary shouted.

Mr. Mister turned back with his mouth open and eyes wide, muttering,
"These young people today, they've no respect for their elders, do they, Crispy?"
He carried on hobbling up the road.

Meanwhile, in the house, Celeste had got her wedding dress, took it outside in the back garden and put it on the pile of firewood that was going to be used for Bonfire Night.

She then lit a match and threw it on the pile, watched it burn, and went to bed.
