Chapter 9

*YOONGI'S POV*

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I watched Y/n stepping inside my room with a pillow in her arms.

"Nothing~ just here for a walk~" She said before casually settling down on my bed with her legs crossed.

"Is it okay for you to be here? I mean, in my room, in the middle of the night?"

She looked at me being a bit confused before giving a sweet smile. "Of course!"

Why is she acting so cute all of a sudden?

I chuckled silently, closing the door behind me and walking up to her.

"Are you sure Suho won't beat me up later?" I laughed a bit as a joke but her expression changed into a tensed one all of a sudden.

"Y/n...?" I called her name to get her attention back but instead, she flinched at my voice.

"Yeah?" She responded.

"Is there something you want to tell me?"

The nervous smile on her face made it quite obvious to know that there was something she's been hiding.

"You can share it with me..." I insisted as I took a seat near the edge of the bed.

"I know... That's exactly why I'm here." She mumbled, putting the pillow on her lap.

"But first, let me be honest with you." She started. "My relationship with Suho is not quite how it looks."

She looked away, biting her lips, probably being hesitant to share it with me.

I decided to give her time to collect her thoughts and waited for her to continue.

"We are in a conditional marriage. There are no romantic feelings between us."

My heart skipped a few beats at her words.

"What do you mean?" I asked, trying to be as calm as possible but my heart was failing to do so.

"I had to marry Suho so that my sister doesn't get forced into marrying him." She explained. "That's why Suho and I decided to get married on the condition that when my sister gets married, we'll get a divorce."

"That's crazy!!" I almost slapped my forehead with my palm.

"I know!!" She sighed. "But I didn't have any other option."

"There are always other options." I sighed as well. "Anyway, what's the problem then?"

"Suho has developed feelings for me."

"Well, I don't blame him."

"What?"

"Nothing..."

She narrowed her eyes at me and I avoided her gaze.

"Anywho~ He is acting really strange these days."

I frowned.

Is it what I've been concerned about for a couple of days?

"Is he being possessive?" I asked to confirm and she nodded in response.

I sensed the toxic jealously in Suho's actions when the last time I met Y/n in the hallway and he dragged her away very harshly.

If that was his reaction to seeing her talking to me, what would he do if he finds out that she came to my room in the middle of the night???
