April 5th, 2058

It was a warm Thursday evening, the birds were chirping, the wind was blowing, quite silent for the city of Monstadt.

For what it's worth, the sailors are leaving today... maybe they'll come back with something good in return.

As for me, research.

Researching the mythological creatures known as Sirens, awfully known for their ill intent to lead and kill sailors via shipwreck.

There may be other occurrences all across Teyvat.. but I must figure out why..

Document End - Albedo 19:45

The scholar sighs closing his small journal before storing it safely upon its bookshelf, along with the other filled journals.

It's been a long week for him, constant reports of missing sailors and shipwreck victims. He isn't a detective... just a normal student.

Then again, it is rather strange if you think about it....

Sirens don't exist.

Never have.

Every shipwreck victim experienced PTSD from these supposed beings. Stating that they had to swim for their lives and felt as if they were gonna be ripped to shreds...

No one could talk clearly to Albedo about their close encounter with the Sirens. Because of this, he documented everything he could hear despite the teeth chattering and screams of the victims.

"Mr. Albedo! Sorry I'm late," It was Sucrose, Albedo's assistant in all the missing sailor cases. She seemed out of breath, most likely from running all the way here.

"Let me guess, were there people surrounding you?" She opened her mouth, but nothing came out. It was the same thing everyday...

The people are becoming restless, Albedo and Sucrose haven't found any clues onto why the Sirens are attacking people.

Sucrose eyes Albedo's reaction, he was so tired, yawning and shaking his head. "You really need to take a break, you work a lot Albedo..." Sucrose says, slightly upset.

"I refuse."

He faces Sucrose and smiles, packing his sketch book and journal in a small bag. "It is our job to help everyone, I will not rest until everyone is at ease, including you."

All Sucrose could do was smile, but it often worried her how Albedo put others before himself. It's not that he's refusing to rest, he can't. Everyone has high expectations for him, but don't realize how much strain they have put on Albedo.

He brought her into a small hug, running his hand through her hair. Sucrose, slightly shocked, hugs back burrowing her head in his neck.

"I suggest you rest here Sucrose, I'll be back in a few hours. Okay? After I'm done, I'll rest with you."

Sucrose blushes, nodding before letting him leave.

"Be careful, Mr. Albedo..."

Below Starsnatch Cliff

I decided to take a walk on the small beach below Starsnatch Cliff. In hopes to come in contact with the supposed Sirens.

A survivor stated that he remembered seeing a siren with beautiful long navy blue hair tied back, Light brown skin and a light purple eye.

Is this siren missing an eye? Why would he say..

'Wicked, yet seducing- and that it's voice was soothing to the ears'

sigh... sailors being sailors

In hopes of meeting a siren, I'll be sitting near the ocean 'sleeping'. I wonder- will this be my last entry? I dunno.

If so, I apologize... Sucrose, everyone.

Document End - Albedo 23:37

With that, Albedo closed his journal and put it away, taking his sketchbook and the other utensils he needed.

He begins to sketch what he believe Sirens look like. Webbed hands, sharp-jagged teeth, soulless eyes...

That's what you thought huh, well no.

Albedo sketched both a male and female Siren

- The male has a small figure, their hair tied up, with a beautiful tail to match their hair color.

- The female, same as the male, but their chest are covered.. obviously.

Satisfied with his sketches, he closes his sketchbook with a smile.

"You're out here again? Any news yet?" A rather cold, yet concerning voice called out to him. "Ah, Master Diluc, nothing yet. Why are you out here?" The red-head was pinning his hair up, sighing in the process.

"Well, I myself need a break sometimes.. from women chasing me." Diluc sighs and sits next to Albedo, staring off into the ocean. He seemed pretty annoyed, but this is Diluc we are talking about.

"Oh, Albedo. May I speak with you tomorrow? If you aren't too busy."

It was complete silence between the two, then Albedo stands up and grabs his items.

"Yes, just be sure to send me a message of what time you are coming," Diluc chuckles, looking towards the scholar. "I'll be leaving now, I'm quite exhausted."

"I'll see you later then, Albedo."

"Same to you, Master Diluc."

With that, Albedo was off towards Monstadt, Diluc watched as he disappeared off into the distance. Just then, a figure emerged from the ocean, with a slight smile.

"Is he gone, Diluc?"

"Yes, you can come out Basa..."
