Alice Adventure Origins + Part 1 Rewritten

Prologue 1: Loêrum Kingdom

     Welcome to the wonderful Kingdom of Loêrum. People are thriving in joy. Everything is perfect. Perfect kingdom, perfect stores, perfect laws, perfect life... unless... A-Anyway, it looks like the Alice family is having dinner! Shhh...be quiet now.

     As the others are enjoying their food normally, 9 year old Shady Alice slams his face into his mashed potatoes. 5 year old Hyper Alice stares at his older brother and performs the same action. "Boys..." says King Noah Alice. Shady looks up from his place to look at his father and replies, "Sup?" "Please do not eat like a mere slob. It's embarrassing. Eat normally please..." says their mother, Queen Kaitlynn Alice. Shady sighs and puts his bowl down, "Fine..." Hyper rolls his eyes and puts his bowl down as well.

     The table is filled with so much food. It's practically a thanksgiving dinner! Shady then asks, "Why do we have to eat this much food anyway?" Their mother responds with, "So you can grow strong, it will give you tons of energy and protein." Their father interrupts, "...And you need to be strong to be a knight. Isn't that right honey?" "Yes," Kaitlynn replies. Shady crosses his arms and mutters, "Well maybe I don't wanna be a knight..." The room goes silent. "Excuse me?" Noah asks as he stands up from the table. "I said maybe I don't wanna be a knight!" exclaims Shady. Noah stares at Shady, menacingly. 

     He then finally responds, "You don't want to be a knight, huh? So be it then, you shall be treated like a mere child such as your brother." "Honey, you need to explain to Shady why he needs to be a knight, not tell him he'll be treated like a 5 year old," interrupts Kaitlynn. Noah sighs, looks down at the floor for a moment, then finally looks back at Shady and says, "...Son, we need knights to protect our kingdom, not bums who sit on the street asking for money. If we don't have any knights, then we don't have any protection. If we have no protection, then we can easily be infiltrated. Are you getting the gist yet?" "No! Why don't you just train Hyper to be a knight?! I don't want that kind of responsibility!" shouts Shady. Kaitlynn shouts back, "He's not even old enough yet, he's only 5 years old!" Hyper just stares at his food while he listens in on the conversation. It seems like he wants to say something, but doesn't have the courage to. Their father seems to be visibly pissed. "And I'm only nine!" Shady yells back. "You're going to be a knight no matter what you say. Enough said." says Noah as he slams his right fist on the table.

     The room got silent once more. Then, Shady musters up another reply, "Well then maybe I'm not eating." Noah then walks over to Shady. Bad intentions are all felt here. Noah then grabs the back of Shady's head and begins to slam his face in his mashed potatoes repeatedly. Hyper laughs as he thinks it's a fun joke, but in reality, it's not as Shady begins bleeding nonstop due to the blunt force of his father's strength. He finally stops and returns to his seat while Shady is left there, crying and bleeding. Noah begins eating his food again as if nothing ever happened. "Anyways..." Kaitlynn says as she continues eating. Shady lifts his head up from the bowl, blood dripping from his broken nose. Hyper frowns at the sight of Shady's broken nose while Kaitlynn responds, "He'll be fine, Hyper." Shady then runs up to his room, crying. "...As long as he cooperates." musters Noah. 

     After dinner, everyone goes to their rooms for the night. Hyper enters his room and he notices Shady repeatedly punching the wall. "Stupid dad....stupid mom...stupid knight thing...stupid blade...stupid brother..." he says as he punches a huge hole in the wall. He shakes his hand to get rid of the pain. Hyper frowns when he heard 'stupid brother...' Shady looks at Hyper and says, "5 years old and you can't even talk. Fucking degenerate..." He then climbs into his bed. "....I'm...sorry..." mutters Hyper. "Wh-What?" Shady questions him, confused. Hyper then sits down on the floor. "Maybe I'm just hearing things..." Shady responds again as he goes to sleep. A few moments later, Hyper falls asleep on the floor.
