It's OK to be SINGLE !

Chapter I

Rrrrgghhhh, why Jakarta is being so cold today? These past two weeks of Christmas break I spent almost every day just staying at home and dreaming all day long because nothing I could do outside since it's always rain and sadly the days passed by too quickly and working day is coming now.  I'm not gonna lie that I'm so lazy today because I really didn't get my holiday experience at all! But I know I must wake up and go to work because my credit card is waiting to be paid! 

"Ok Archie, you can do it!" I motivate myself.

I pulled my blanket, lazily get off from my super comfort bed which I just bought from IKEA last month as a gift for myself after suffering from backpain for almost 2 months because of my old bed that has been used since I was,  hmmm 17. Before take shower, I always take the time to do a little stretching on the balcony.  It'll give me a little more energy to go through the day. I inhale the soothing aroma of this morning dew, the scent of mama's flowers which are blooming in the garden wafted into my nostrils.  I turn to the sky and thanks God the sky looks clear and I hope no more rain today.  I go back inside the bedroom, and look at the clock on the white small cupboard beside the bed, it's 06.15.  Now, I'm ready to take a shower.

I slowly go down stairs, ready to have a breakfast.  Yeah, I never skip meals with family because it's important for me. I see mama's busy preparing the meals and I can smell how good they are.  Mmmm, mama's cooking is always the best for me.

"Wow it smells very good mam. What it's?"  I'm greeting while approaching the dining table. 

"Oh son, you starled me! Come, I cook your favorite Chicken Porridge with Cakwe slices on it." 

Ahh, I always enjoy it when I see a smile curved on her face. "Mom? really?!"  I scream a little bit because foo excited.

"I thought it's nothing special today. Its also not my bırthday " I said this because mama usually cooks my favorite foods only on special day.

"You're right honey! But today is the first day you go to work again after 2 weeks of boring vacation, right? I just want to make you more ready for today. " She explained.

"Uhh mam. You know me the most.  Can we eat now?  I can't wait anymore."

"Oh, sure honey. Come here." she said and patted the seat next to her.

I sit down and starting to eat my favorite food when mama suddenly ask me "So when will you ask Reina to have a dinner with us honey? I really can't wait to invite her to our house." She asked excitedly essibility.

"Uhuuukkk huuukkk..." I'm chocking.

“Mam, hmmm, I should go now.  I just remember that I have a metting schedule this morning.  Bye mam..."

Sorry I have to lie. I really don't know how to explain to her that I won't meet Reina again. Uhhhh, everything is very complicated for me right now.

I open my red mini car door, have a sit and put on the seatbelt. When I want to start the machine, mama called me.

"Archie!!"

"Yeah mam?"

"You forgot your Laptop dear, Your meeting won't run well without this  right?" she said

"Uhhh mam. Thank you so much! I'm really nothing without you! Bye mam..." I said goodbye while waving my right hand at her. She waves me back with that sweet smile. Then my car  really started to drive away from home.

It's just silent during my way go to work but not my head. My head still full of questions 'how can I explain to mama that I fail to get Raina's heart?' And she won't even meet  me again because the stupid things I did to her!. Aghhhh, I still remember the embarrassing things I did. It was begun last month, when I attended my office anniversary party. There, I met a beautiful girl called Reina...
