Part 1

hi i'm jayla but you can call me jay. i'm 16 years old and i live with my big brother Jayden. our parents are on drugs. my dad overdosed when i was only 12. even though he did drugs he tried his best to be the best dad ever. he was going through stuff. i'm not sure what but i hope to find out one day. i loved my dad a lot it still hurts me till this day. ever since he died my mom began to be abusive. i never really had the best bond with my mom even when my dad was alive so that was just the cherry on top. anyway. my brother always took care of me when we were smaller and he still does. without him i'd be so lost.

Jayden- JAYLAA
he screams from downstairs

Jayla- yesss?

Jayden- come down here we have to talk

usually when we have to "talk" it's nothing good.
i walked downstairs and sat at the table with him

jayla- yes?

jayden- so, how would you feel if someone moved in with us?

jayla- your girlfriend?

Jayden- no, maybe, no not her my friend

jayla- why would your friend move in with us?

Jayden- Hes gonna be our roommate! besides me and the guys always talked about getting a big ole house and move in all together. Jay, we have all this room in this big ass house and it's only two of us. it wouldn't be so bad

Jayla- i mean i guess, i don't pay no bills so i don't have a say so *laughs*

Jayden- you damn right *laughs* i just wanted to make sure you'd be comfortable with it

Jayla- sure i'll be in my room half of the time anyway, when is he coming?

Jayden- tomorrow morning

Jayla- wow you sholl did tell me this last minute *laughs*

Jayden- my bad *laughs* but anyway i'm gonna go get ready to bed good night sis
he says standing up and walking to his room

Jayla- night

i walked up to my room getting ready for bed as well. i thought to myself how different things would be with another person around, it's always just been me and jayden. oh well. i put on my night clothes and went to bed and mentally prepared myself for tomorrow.

-the next morning-

i woke up and got ready for the day. i put on a white spots bra and some baggy jeans. i left my wet wavy hair down. i put on some rings and a necklace.

i'm 100% straight i just love dressing the way i do. lol. anyway i went downstairs to see my brother sitting on the couch eating cereal.

Jayla- morning

Jayden- Good morning, ain't no more cereal
he says while taking a big spoon full and stuffing his face

Jayla- ugh you eat everything up *rolls eyes*

Jayden- you'll be ight

just then it was a knock on the door. Jayden got up to answer and i walked right behind him.

Jayden- Yoooooo wussup brothaa

roc- yoo wusgud
they give each other dap

Jayden- come in bro
roc came in and sat his bags down then looked my way

Jayden- oh this is my little sister, she also lives with me

Roc- nice to meet you i'm roc
he says shaking my hand

Jayla- nice to meet you too i'm Jayla or Jay
i say shaking his hand then letting go and whew is this boy fine wait.. FOCUS JAY. while we were all standing there Jayden's phone started to ring, it was his girlfriend.

Jayden- hello..WHAT..OK.. calm down baby.. yea.. okay i'm on the way.

Jayla- everything ok?

Jayden- nope Mia (his girlfriend) is in labor.

yep he has a child on the way.

Jayden- i have to get to the hospital i'll been home later

Jayla- umm okay

he left the house leaving me and roc standing there awkwardly.

Jayla- so um let me show you your room

Roc- uh okay yea
he says awkwardly

we walked upstairs, his room was right across the hall from my room.

Jayla- here's your room, you can settle in and make yourself at home. we don't have anymore breakfast cause jayden ate it all.. so sorry if you're hungry

Roc- *laughs* its cool.
i watched as roc unpacked his things

Jayla- need any help?

Roc- actually yes, can you unpack that bag over there
he says pointing at a bag

Jayla- sure
i walked over and did as he said and we began to have a conversation

-40 minutes later-

Roc- finally done

Jayla- yep, welp i'm worn out i think imma go take a nap
as i was walking out roc stopped me

roc- wait, uh maybe we can watch a movie or something?

jayla- oh uh sure, let's go to the movie room.

we grabbed some blankets and snacks and went in the movie room. we sat down and picked a comedy movie to watch and it was hilarious.

Jayla- wow that was fun

Roc- yea, hey tell me about yourself

Jayla- well i'm 16, i love to sing and play the piano. Jayden has raised me ever since i was a kid. our parents were on drugs and my dad passed away a few years ago.. i still miss him, my mom is abusive and on some hard drugs.

Roc- oh wow i'm sorry

Jayla- it's ok, tell me about yourself

Roc- well my mom passed away, my dad drinks a lot. i have 1 other sibling who's a mommy and a wife! i love singing,dancing,and rapping. and yea..

Jayla- sorry about your mom

Roc- it's okay everyone dies someday.

Jayla- i guess you're right

after that we got lost in each other's eyes not even realizing it

Jayla- Um well i'm gonna go to my room, nice hangin with you

Roc- yea you too

Roc's pov
not gonna lie she's really pretty but this is my bro's little sister i can't even do that, don't get me wrong she's beautiful but i can't do that i know he wouldn't like it
